  • In this video I show how to read Wide band o2sensor data. This vehicle has a dtc indicating that the rear o2 is rich while the rest of the data is indicates that there is no issue.
    Hope you enjoy :)

I have a 2011 KIA optima 2.4. The upstream o2 is a wide band, the down stream o2 is a narrow band. Does the down stream narrow band o2 contribute anything to the ECM for fuel adjustment? I assume it is just looking at Cat condition?
In other words if I had a faulty downstream o2 would it affect fuel trim? Thanks

Downstream sensor just monitors cat efficiency.

My X5 reads 2.20v sensor 1 Bank 1 (it only has one upstream sensor for both Banks) but the combustion is so rich at the tailpipe, what is going on?.
Is very difficult to diagnose this A/F sensors without technical data.

You need to see how the sensor responds to change. the sensor could be lying to the dme.

@@JLsAutoSolution I think that is the obvius way to go, replace the sensor because that engine was working with a huge vacuum leak before it got repair. So maybe the A/F is plenty of carbon. Thanks

I'm having an issue with wideband on 2013 Ford tt3.5 stuck lean bank1sensor 1,after catalytic converter and all 02 sensor was replaced ,car is worst with new parts than it was with old parts, with only 83000 miles on the clock

I would look for a bad maf or fuel delivery issue or a vacuum leak.
