People forget the baseboards will cover that gap so you don’t need to install right too the wall.

I have just had new wood flooring placed in my downstairs bathroom. The boards are laid on a concrete base with a lining. The concrete floor was tested for moisture and considered dry before installation. One of the boards will noticeably depress when stood on and squeaks. Do you know why this is happening and is there a fix. Thankyou.

The Amish installed my hardwood floors virtually airtight to the walls. It was their first job of hat size doing an installation... The humidity has caused enough swelling to cause buckling everywhere now. Can just adding a gap along the perimeter going to reduce the pressure enough where the buckling everywhere should dissipate over time?

Lowes installed pre-stained hard wood at my house and where the ends meet there are gaps on about 20 places.. Terrible job, inspector said that wood filler would fix it.. That is not a fix.. that is a mask of a terrible job. I am so disappointed. They are supposed to come out and fix it but I know they are going to try to get away with filler.
