Good to know. I also have a problem with the stock seat pushing me forward AND causing pain to my tailbone/taint. NOT a comfortable long distance seat. I'm going to make other additions to my bike before I decide on whether or not to change out the stock seat. Maybe there is a break in period like a pair of boots? Thanks for the video!
Yeah the stock seat pushes you forward as there is a lean. It doesn't do that in the high position but that makes it too high. Suggestions I have received are to shave the seat pegs so that you can lower the back portion of the seat while it being in the high position. I will be trying that soon.
@@Dude_Virus I saw a video on that from Yeager's Cycles. I will try that as well. I did make a 5 hour trip on the stick seat and did much better but still became annoying after a while. Will try shaving it down as well. Just added the Tall Boy risers and that helped me sit more upright as well.
@@johnmyers8588 Yeah the stock becomes a problem after some hours. I am currently using the stock in the low position and I do not like the forward lean. It is more due to the lower handlebar risers. I am first waiting for the riser extensions to get delivered, so I can check if the 2 inch up and 1 inch pullback makes any difference or not. If not then I will be shaving the seat pegs and trying the seat on the higher position.
What is the height of the seat from the ground? I was going to try the HD Reach Seat but I want a more comfortable seat and the stock is not very comfortable and I assume the reach seat is made of the same material. I know/heard the Sargent Seats are extremely well made and more comfortable.... You agree?.....I did a ride to Vegas from Houstin and I'm not a BIG fan of the Harley Seat..... Ride Safe ...jv

Hey, the Sundowner seat is comfortable on long rides as well but what we all want to know about the Sargent seat is: 1. in the lower position, does the rider feel like the seat is tilted forward/does the rider keep slipping forward? 2. does the pillion slide forward on the seat under braking? I am also interested if the Sargent pillion seat works with the stock rider seat. Thanks.
It doesn’t feel like it tilts me forward like the stock seat. It does have more room than the stock seat. It feels like the rider position has more room. Yes Sargent seat pillion does fit with the stock rider seat in the high and low position. I don’t ride 2 up so I can’t answer that question. Thanks for watching.
The Sargent does not push me forward. I am 5’8” with a 30” inseam. I do have the Sargent “low” seat. I have a second video with measurement on it, that may make it easier to compare to your current or prospective seat. Thanks for watching.

Does the Sargent pillion seat fit with the Harley riders seat. My wife hates the standard pillion but I like the Harley riders.

Yes the Sargent pillion does fit with the stock front seat in both high and low positions.
We are in the same boat my wife hate the seat on the PA comparing with my vstrom . Looking for solutions mine is not as bad
Based on reliably issues with the Pan American I think I would’ve opted for better shoes (or a cell phone with good reception😅).
