Did a testride on a bmw test weekend. Loved the bike, current bike is a F900XR. I use the bike for commuting to work in Belgium. Need to testride again for the lanesplitting part.
The engine has very high compression, which makes it run hot. I've ridden in 42 Celsius, which was painful, the heat was unbearable and nearly burned the inside of my leg. But then again it was 42 degrees Celsius. Nobody in it's right mind is gonna ride a motorcycle, now will he? She runs hot but in normal weather it is not a problem.
Great review with real world touring examples which actually matters unlike most other videos just reading the brochure. Thank you
Thank you very much sir!

It's a lovely ride, the f900gsa. I commute on my r 1200 gs, less maintenance costs
@@Motorcycle.journeysYT Hi! I am curious, why/how is the 1200gs less maintenance cost than the 900gs? Cheers
Shaftdrive for starters. A valve check is also cheaper, because the valves are easier to access
I have the same motorcycle and I completely agree with you. Does it seem to you that a lot of heat radiates from the engine in the summer?

@Motorcycle.journeysYT In your opinion, because 1200 or 1250 heats less?
@igormarkotic2639 the 1200 heats less, because it's a boxer. The cylinders are out in the air and get better cooling.
@@Motorcycle.journeysYT 1250 also?
