This was a well-timed video, Nate - the last few months have been filled with excessive procrastinating for me where I end days thinking "man, where did all that time go?" 👍
There gets to a point where it becomes unproductive to watch so many, this is called the law of diminishing returns. Draw a fine line and try discipline yourself from procrastination
nate you’ve helped me so much. being a 16 y/o with no direction in life, you’ve cleared up all the confusion i had about saving money and now i have an idea
Really good video man. I've made a lot of mistakes this year wirh time management, the biggest one being says yes too much to things that aren't bringing me value
I spend too much time researching (analysis paralysis) and not taking action! Great video topic Nate. I’ve been watching your older videos lately and I’m enjoying your videos the most out of all the other you-tubers I follow. Keep it up!
Your videos are always so well produced! Safe to say we all appreciate the content you provide, thank you Nate. Taking from what I read from ‘The War of Art’: “ you need to realize the difference from what is urgent and what important. Do what is important first”.
That waking up early bit really was like a slap to the face that I needed! I keep saying I don't have enough time but the reality is I often stay up past 1 AM and end up waking up really late. Thank you for giving me that reality check, really needed it!
I like that you mentioned automation. I recently bought a robot vacuum & mop and they have saved me a lot of time! I talked about this in my recent video about FIRE and Black Friday. Not only does it save you time, but you can put these robots to work more often than you typically would and have a cleaner place!
Whatever you’re worried about right now, you probably won’t think about it in a month from now, or maybe even a week from now. So take a deep breath and relax. All is well. 🙏🏽
Love your videos Nate! I would like to say something that will work too. The key is not waking up early, the key is going to bed early. If you think you need to wake up early that stresses you out and then in the morning you are tired, you want to keep sleeping and you won't get up. But if you go to bed early, if you focus on going to bed early, no mater what, you will wake up early, because you will be sleeping enough hours and will not wake up tired. Another thing you can also do, while you are vacuuming or doing things that can take a lot of your time is do something else productive while you are cleaning, etc. For example, learning a new language. Listening to tapes and repeat the words while you are vacuuming, or listen to a podcast. That's another way to use your time wisely. :)
Nate, let me just say that I watched your video on journaling and thanks to being inspired by you, I have had way more time in the day than before and I’ve been more inspired in my own personal development. Thank you so much for your helpful videos. Journaling and waking up early have been the biggest contributors to me feeling more organized these last two weeks that the whole year it seems.
Great video, lots of excellent points! We use our time because we choose to focus on things which ultimately lack meaning deep within us, and what's worse is often we don't realise how we just use time in ways that serve little utility.
Definitely, minimalist and regular life is the best ways for more quality life.Because of that,I wake up 6:00 am every morning.I dont buy needless things for me.Actually, sometimes I dont have a extra time for shopping or social media etc.Btw,I agreed your ideas on video!Love it 🌟
Another self-help guy I follow, Craig Ballentyne, pushes "structure equals freedom." This is the same thing Nate is talking about. So true. The time blocks are one of the best things I've incorporated into my life. Even breaking it down to my youtube. I could never find time to learn and edit my videos until I specifically structured time blocks for it. Great videos, Nate!
Getting up early is a game changer. I get up at 3am every morning. I take a shower, eat breakfast, do a workout, a Spanish lesson, then get ready for work at 5. I always hear people at work complaining about how tired they are and how going to the gym after work is going to suck. I get to just go home and relax, eat, and go to bed after work wore me out
I like this. I hate getting up early... But this kind of schedule just makes sense. I can't be spending the rest of rest of my day tired and unable to enjoy life because of working first.
Still working on time management and as life gets busier with more responsibilities, I definitely need it. Meal prepping each week has helped me HUGE save time throughout the week (and stay healthy). Great points!
Perfect video for my problem, i have school works ahead and just few minutes ago i thought how the heck is the day ending and i haven't done anything, and i can relate. Thank you nate for making this kind of videos you're the best.
When preparing food, clean up as you go. For instance, if you're waiting for the water to boil, wipe up the countertops and table and wash the dishes. That way after your meal you won't really have to clean up, it will already be done.
I agree, I am in love with cooking but yes, sometimes I spent too much time cooking a dish that by the time I finish serving everyone I'm kinda mentally full.
Thank you so much Nate. I've watched several of your videos and have learned so much. I am so grateful for your teachings and posts. I've also read and studied your book recommendations. Thank you for everything
Insanely valuable video Nate! 1. Adopt minimalism. 2. Make all of house chores done in bulk and streamline everything 3. Create buffer time 20 - 30 minutes for each time block, because you never know how much it actually takes to finish a project. 4. Become a morning person and wake up early in the morning, 4 am, 5 am.
1. Cooking takes alot of time, so Precook and Planout Meals ahead of time. The solution is Instant Pot for cooking. 2. Stream Line time spent cleaning, adopt minimalism. 3. Automate Redudant tasks and chores. Romba 4. Create blocks of freetime throughout day to buffer in for extra work and tasks needed to complete in that day. 5. Wake Up Early, don't be a nightowl.
Time management is very important. Some people can spend their time very smartly, they plan ahead and they can arrange the time perfectly. Therefore, they are vey successful like you. It is time for us to plan for the 2021.

This hit home for me!!! Thanks nate! I am now 20 and have been living on my own for a little over a year now and I constantly feel like I don’t have time to do everything I need to do around the house and still enjoy my hobby’s and projects. I’m a slow eater too! What you said about food and prep was spot on, and has been my issue with why I hated cooking and would rather eat out. However I do need to save money so I started using Hello Fresh. It’s so worth it! I got a free box from a friend and it was so convenient having all my ingredients there as well as a recipe to follow on the recipe card. You should try either that or another meal prep service. I can give you a free box!
getting up early versus going to sleep later i think it's on a more personal level: in morning, whether one works out, goes for a run, or simply departs for work, one's focus is aimed at getting on with the friction of the day. versus evenings/nights, the focus, even without friends saying "let's go out", it's still more in the direction of netflix or gaming. most people don't do that in the morning.

Lack of time management and randomness in performing life’s tasks always make us feel like there is not enough time.... 👍
