The Billie Joel thing is misleading. At the time, In the soviet union, it was illegal to dance in public. He was yelling because the police were using the spot lights to arrest the audience members. It was a meltdown for a good cause.
If Chris Brown didn't want his abusive past to follow him then he shouldn't have been abusive to begin with. He deserves to have that follow him for the rest of his life since he truly has not changed or shown true remorse for his actions.
@@StreetKnightZ I know what you're talking about, she made a public announcement because she was equally tired of the harrassment from his fans so she tried to squash the beef so she could live in peace. Just because she "forgave" him doesn't mean anyone else needs to. When you are put on blast for being abusive towards multiple women that is a "you" issue, not anyone else. Which means you're a danger to women everywhere. He deserves to feel shame for what he did and continues to do. Rihanna wasn't the only one. She was just the most public.
During that Billy Joel show he felt (and probably rightly) that they were illuminating the audience to enable the government to identify "dissidents". He was protecting the crowd, and good on him.
Thank you for clarifying. The way they described the situation made Joel look like an egotistical pipe bomb. You would be pissed too if your audience was at risk of going to prison for dancing at a concert.
Billy Joel wasn´t upset about not being lit up on stage properly - in fact, he asked the lighting tech not to expose the Russian audience because he didn´t want them to feel uncomfortable.
Boy that Tom Cruise/Oprah/Counch jumping appearance was one of the craziest/unexpected things to ever witness on TV. Seriously, never seen anything like it before or since.
Just once I'd like to see a celebrity melt down and then not apologize for it. "Yeah, I did what I did. Too bad if you were offended. You got a problem with that? Sue me." There are a lot of us out there who would give a statement like that a standing ovation and then keep buying tickets and music.
"You do not have the right to walk up on stage and smack somebody in the face because they said words. That video is going to be there forever. It's going to be ubiquitous. That insult is going to last a very long time." - Jim Carrey
"I didn't do this stuff this is not me I'm fighting for my f*cking life y'all killing me with this shit!!!" That will forever be a legendary interview.
Tom cruise is that"big"in Hollywood he can have an entire show just to let the world know he's in love, absolutely bonkers .I'm surprised he doesn't have a press conference everytime he farts.
I agree it's ridiculous, but as long as the world is full of people desperate to fill up their empty lives with meaningless celebrity bullshit nothing is going to change...
That's not why he got upset, although he did say "god**** dog". He was upset at the way the producer lined up the song from high energy to a sad song which if one is a dedicated professional is a pretty bad mistake.
R Kelly on Gayle King was just messed up . He just went way too far . Screaming and yelling throwing a fit when Gayle asked him about the child mollestation
"You do not have the right to walk up on stage and smack somebody in the face because they said words. That video is going to be there forever. It's going to be ubiquitous. That insult is going to last a very long time." - Jim Carrey
That's a lot to choose from, but I'd take The Hoff as my favorite. He wasn't just melting, he was in a puddle. Talk about tough love! But it sounds like something constructive came of it.
What? Meat Loaf absolutely loses his shit at a gurning Gary Busey and then Bieber is placed ahead of Meat Loaf and all he does is walk off stage saying "that's it, I'm done. I'm not playing." 😂😂😂😂 ok then.
Definitely Will Smith. When that slap happened, everyone was shocked and thought it was improvised but it wasn’t. He actually slapped Chris Rock. Along with a infamous censored line I made a random video and I can’t believe it has 1.6K views
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! It's must be very stressful to realize, other people who they don't even know -- are interested in their everyday life, for the rest of their lives. 🥶
That Will Smith attack on Chris Rock still seems so surreal like it felt as if it could have been a skit. The lighting, the seating, the staging was all perfect for that moment. To see Will Smith basically lose his mind since is rather sad.
They made a movie about Joan Crawford's melt down. Joaquin Phoenix seems like he perpetually is living a silent breakdown, and definitely was during "I'm Still Here"
I really don’t think Tom cruise jumping on the couch was that extreme. It was just him being excited. Compared to Kanye’s outbursts and all the other madness on this list it’s really nothing.
My vote is for # 6, Will Smith. What he did to Mr. Rock was plain & simple, an assault. This is not the first time Mr. Smith has shown his violent tendencies. About 5 years ago, he was in France (I don't remember why), but he was approached by a Frenchman and given a hug/kiss customary in that country, and Mr. Smith freaked out and assaulted that man. Since that news report, I have not watched any of his movies or anything else. To me, he is an arrogant P-O-S. As for his 10-year ban from the Academy, I would have made it for life.
I believe that with all the pressure and stress they have I am surprised that it doesn't happen more. I am sure having have to act a certain way all the time is hard. In the end they are just human. Regular people freak our all the time the only difference is their jobs.
His was because Soviet Cops were lighting the crowds to arrest people for the violent crime of public dancing. Yes, Billy Joel was trying to protect the audience.
Will Smith basically changed the world's opinion of him for a woman that ended up screwing him over. That really sucks and I do believe she made him feel like he had to do something. The way she was looking at him in the beginning of that whole thing. He was laughing at it at first and then smack his career is over
What Will Smith did was downright embarrassing. He had no right to hit Chris Rock just because he made a petty joke about Jada’s alopecia. Will Smith and Will Smith alone is to blame for the incident going viral.
He didn’t change my opinion about him I still rock with Will Smith I actually enjoyed seeing him put them Fresh Prints across Chris Rock face & not because of what he said about Jada
The Will Smith one was before he won for King Richard. And when Chris Rock have the Oscar to Summer Of Soul, too bad Flee and Writing With Fire lost. The Jesus Music and Final Account and Show Me The Father were lost. That what my live meltdown would be on
You know damn well WatchMojo wanted to put Will Smith at number 1, given how hes in the thumbnail, but decided against it after realizing EVERYONE would know that was the reason they made this list.
You left out some key context about Billy Joel. The Russian audience wasn’t supposed to be dancing or they might face the wrath of the authorities. They did anyway, but the crew kept lighting the audience, and when they did the audience would quit dancing and having fun.

They're all just a bunch of KARENS
The Billie Joel thing is misleading. At the time, In the soviet union, it was illegal to dance in public. He was yelling because the police were using the spot lights to arrest the audience members. It was a meltdown for a good cause.
The shot of Lupita Nyong'o trying not to lose it behind Will Smith will forever be the funniest part of that clip
If Chris Brown didn't want his abusive past to follow him then he shouldn't have been abusive to begin with.
He deserves to have that follow him for the rest of his life since he truly has not changed or shown true remorse for his actions.
So he's supposed to just get beat up and not defend himself while the aggressor gets to play the victim?
Did Rihanna says she forgive Chris? I pretty sure she did publicly, and some people yet still mad at Chris about it?

I definitely remember the Tom Cruise on Oprah moment 😂 everyone was saying we'd be talking about it for a long time and they weren't wrong 😂😂
South Park sealed his fate, as did his attempt to sue them over an episode
It’s so cringy lol
And to think, Scary Movie 4's last scene parodied this interview.

I honestly hadn't thought of that. 👍
That R.Kelly interview with Gayle King was something else..
Poor Lupita.... everytime I see a picture of this moment, I see her uncomfortable face! Lupita deserves better!!!
I don't really think the tom cruise thing was a meltdown
I was expecting his outburst on the set of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - DEAD RECKONING PART ONE

Honorable mention: R. Kelly
Will Smith: “KEEP MY CELEBRITIES OUT YOUR F’ING LIST!”

Kanye and Charlie could have meltdown countdowns on mojo by themselves 💯
The fact that one of those men showed his butt in Italy unprompted and unasked for...and the fact that could be either of them really says something.

Yep. Bravo, Watchmojo 🙄😒
Excuse? Hell no. Reason? HELL YA
“Alcohol use disorder” yeah, in the real world we call that “being a drunk”.
The cruise one wasn't really a meltdown. More like just super cringe and a heat of the moment thing.
It was a meltdown. He went bezurk
It’s awkward watching someone trying to simply act human and fail
I watched that special and it was only 90 seconds long.
Bill O Rilley an intellectual?
Hahahahaha.
Not even close. 😂
I just wanna say, anyone else think it’s funny that Casey Kasems outburst was over a dog dying. Anyone else thinking “Damn. Shaggy going off rn.”

Tom Cruise's so-called "meltdown" on _The Oprah Winfrey Show_ in 2005 was *_so_* hysterical. XD LOL! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
5:31 it’s because it was illegal for them to dance, so he wanted no lights on the crowd so they could enjoy the show.

Casey Kasem, who voiced one of the most iconic dog owners had a meltdown over a song dedication to a deceased pet dog??? The irony.
It was about the people doing the line up switching from upbeat songs to sad dedications
Zoinks!
That's not why he got upset, although he did say "god**** dog". He was upset at the way the producer lined up the song from high energy to a sad song which if one is a dedicated professional is a pretty bad mistake.
It was the music he was complaining about, not the dog tribute. The music was too upbeat instead of a more somber song.
He was mad because the song before was a upbeat pop song which he thought made his tribute to the dog sound insincere which he was probably right
