Excellent video! Many, many (many) years ago my first class in photography was using b&w film and a darkroom. B&W images can be so dramatic. I learned a lot from this video and will use it as a reference going forward. Thanks!
That is why I make these videos, to provide a reference for everyone that is interested. Black and white film is a lot of fun to play with. In 2004 I developed film in a darkroom in High School, and it was really fun. I didn’t know it would be helpful down the line, but what I learned in print class really has been helpful in what I do now.
Hello Will, Thanks a lot for this video! For me it's very interesting and impressive. It reminds me when I worked with silver films to get the result I was looking for, but it was in my little dark room at home. Now, I'm doing it with ON1 and your explanation will be extremely helpful.
It is always good when you can take a technique from the darkroom and apply it to the digital darkroom. Many of the techniques are still useable in the digital photo editing space. I’m happy this video was helpful for you!
Hello, my best friend. First, an awesome video. When you add grain you see this very well when you print the photo. And I am very happy that you told me, in an earlier video, that I can use Nik software in On1. Second, I have sent you an email. Antoine.
Do you Nik with Mac or Windows? If it is Mac is it v1.2.11 the original free one I think I tried to install it once but the terminal hack line did not work for me. Also I think I need a "code" once the trial period runs out, according to some people.
