That’s an awesome upgrade!!! It’s cool that these parts are transferable from new to old. Your truck should stop hella better now. Great video bud. 🫶🏻🫡
@CrazydayzFab also Im sure I can use the same parts u ordered on my escalade too right it's a 07 same bolt pattern as well I love how easy it is to change out pads without removing calipers just pins and slide them out also since u have had the green pads in any cons on them do they really work that much better and brake better and keep wheels cleaner? Thanks for info
Brother! Phenomenal video, so thank you!! My question (hoping you or another subscriber knows the answer) is regarding the rear brakes. WILL THE 2003 SS CALIPERS and ROTORS DIRECT FIT ON A 2000 Silverado 1/2 ton? It is my understanding Chevy didn’t introduce the SS LINE until the year 2003. My 2000 has rotors on the rear already but I am unsure if the SS parts will mount on my 2000 bubble eye. Thank you to anyone that can answer this…much gratitude!
@@michaelscottroberts5444 I don’t see why not, I put them on my 03, if you have disc you should be good. Go on rockauto and cross reference the years and replacement parts to see if they’re the same. Appreciate the support! 💪
@ thank you!! I really hate to overstep by asking one final question. How did the pedal feel after you did this mod? Any spongier? You’re obviously happy with the performance, but I was curious if it felt different. I promise this is my final question lol
I would have to think. The longevity of the thicker rotor and pad and caliper must outweigh the stock. Why not price out an all around stock replacement and weight the opinions. Pay a little bit more one time and upgrade. And all you have to do is buy some cheap pads that would outlast your stock and make it easier to chamber yourself
@@jexxux1 For the rear disc upgrade you will need the 2 piston calipers and the 2 piston caliper mounting brackets and the larger discs, Suburban's and Escalade's came with that 2 piston rear brake set up so plentiful at wrecking yards for cheap.
Does it brake better? Because if you have more pistons and youre using the same master theres not enough pressure for what bigger brakes need. Just wondering if this was the case?

I have hydro boost, felt the same pedal wise, can definitely tell there’s a lot more breaking power though.
I assuming this would also work the same on a 99-02, 00 specifically? I’ve been thinking about moving to dual pistons in the rear. Cool truck
Thanks, I dont see why it wouldn’t.

@CrazydayzFab so how much?
this mod can be done for under $500 if you shop around for the calipers and rotors
