2.6 Maxis Ikon: Supple & Fast!

After desiring a higher volume, fast rolling tire for years, Maxxis released their 29x2.6 Ikon in the fall of 2018. We have been testing 2 samples of this tire on two different rim widths, both front and rear, over the course of the last 6+ months. We tested them in the harshest conditions we could find, slicing them with sharp rocks, and riding them through sand, snow, ice, and mud to ensure we had adequate data points before bringing you this review.
We measured the widths of both the tire casing and tread on both rim widths to provide you with as much information as possible so you can make an informed decision.
