Make sure you hit the Lower Cascades when you return. They are the prettiest by far and there is a wonderful swimming hole that almost seems partially enclosed by the sides of the rock walls. It’s an easy hike down to the falls, and you won’t regret it!
Thanks for the great video. We just came back today from climbing to the hanging rock. The trail was much rougher than we expected, but we’ll worth the trip. Tomorrow we’re visiting Pilot Mountain. Did you go there, too? We look forward to watching your videos to help us decide where to go next.
Very glad you enjoyed it. Yes, we've been to Pilot Mountain and that video is here: th-cam.com/video/6x4Ku0Q4dCQ/w-d-xo.html Did you have a good visit?
I would suggest using a pair of adjustable hiking poles. Shorten them slightly for the uphill hike and lengthen them for the downhill. That takes a lot of pressure off your knees. Works for me - changes you into a quadruped temporarily 😀
Used to play there 60 years ago. Great memories!
Wow! It has wonderful vistas and just beautiful to sit there and relax.,
Another Wonderful tour, I haven’t been since I was a kid… hopefully I’ll be going back soon.
It's a great place to hang out - if you haven't been there since you were young, definitely go back and enjoy it as an adult - different perspectives!
Looks like a beautiful state park! Absolutely beautiful shots. Another great informative video😁👍🏼
Thanks. This is one of the better NC state parks (also very popular)
Wow ty for sharing and filming at the same time
Just moved here to NC
Enjoyed
Glad you enjoyed
I am planning a visit with my teenagers! Thanks you!!!
Great - hopefully they get awed by the sight at the top of the rock

Agree 100%. Those places are beautiful and fun!
I go to Hanging Rock State Park often. Some great views.
Yes indeed. It's one of the top 5 NC State Parks from my point of view.
great lil video, thank you!
Glad you liked it! Have you visited it?
Thanks for sharing..!!

I like the trail that goes behind the lake to a fire tower at the top. It affords great views into Virginia.
What is the name of the trail? I want to check it out the next time.
@@JourneytoAllNationalParks That would be Moore’s Knob Trail, much shorter than Moore’s Wall Loop Trail.

Great idea! I'll have to try it next time now that I got a pair of adjustable hiking poles.
Dude The unevenness is the fun jaja
Both challenge and the fun 🙂
Are you laughing in Spanish?
@@GAROmx jaja si mi amigo
Thanks 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
How long was the hike?
1.3 miles one way. Average person takes about 1 hour to reach the end.
They named a park for the single hanging rock formation? And those trail steps needs some maintenance.
The rock is pretty interesting and yes, the trail was very uneven.
Really nice park, however money has not been invested to maintain.
This is one of the best in NC.
