KISS (Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons) have always been great musicians. They have so much diversity (Strutter, Deuce, Black Diamond, Detroit Rock City, God of Thunder, Beth, Goin' Blind, I Was Made For Loving You, Tears Are Falling, The Oath, A World Without Heroes, etc.). KISS are the heavy metal Beatles! KISS ROCKS!
This brings back memories of the musical feel of back when I went to the 1995 Official KISS Convention here in Chicago and KISS did a long acoustic set. It has a similar vibe, though at the convention they had Gene, Paul, Eric Singer, and Bruce Kulick here. I also got to meet the whole band that day. Many of my friends have been to several meet and greets during the book signings and other stuff, but I was only lucky enough to have met KISS once(Gene was very polite and actually during a moment when the line was shorter during the all day event talked to me for 20 minutes). I still want to meet them again one day. I have seen them live in concert 24 times, including second row center in the standing room only crowd at the Chicago Open Air this past July 2017. I continue to love KISS more than ever . But I agree, these intimate acoustic performances really have a cool vibe..
@@TheGodYouWishYouKnewthat song was written before kiss was even a band and it's off their second record. But yes they did get better overtime, but they were already good.
@@jakewilliams1344 Yeah. The raw ability was always there. They were always decent songwriters. But the instrument playing was spotty early on. They started to improve under Ezrin’s tutelage and it just got better from there.
no kiss bashing on this one i can see them playing this on the streets of new york in 1972 before peter and ace and the fame great video rare to see paul and gene play alone like this
I wish P&G had done a couple of songs together like this for MTV Unplugged. I actually prefer listening to this than anything the 4 (or 6) of them did for the Unplugged show.
Yeah, it does bring to mind Paul talking about swinging his arm like Pete Townshend and something being missing, before they put out the infamous "flash and ability" ad in the Village Voice.
And I know how it should be There is nothing more for you and I Some are young and some are free But I think I'm goin' blind 'Cause, I think I'm goin' blind And I know how it's to be, yeah Little lady, can't you see You're so young and so much different than I I'm 93, you're sixteen Can't you see I'm goin' blind 'Cause, I think I'm goin' blind And I know how it's to be, yeah 'Cause, I think I'm goin' blind And I know how it's to be, yeah You're much younger, can't you see There is nothing more for you and I I'm 93, you're sixteen And I think I'm goin' blind Yes, I think I'm goin' blind And I know how it's to be, yeah
Another example proving KISS wrote great songs. The makeup was great, but the talent was deeper than the makeup.
No pudiste haberlo descrito mejor...enteramente de acuerdo!
You nailed it. Couldn’t of said that any better.
Кисс любовь СССР❤!
Divine bass line !
This song's harmony sounds like a Beatles' song---its wonderful
Should of played it this way on MTV Unplugged. Stunning.

It's the first time I see only Paul and Gene playing a Kiss song together live!
Great bass sound from Gene! Wish he`ll do some Beatlesque mellow music when Kiss is done. They both sing and play very well here!
Paul’s voice was so fantastic than
I remember this very well, in this period I was so proud of them and I was also very proud to be a die hard kiss fan.
Proof to the naysayers that Gene Simmons is a damn good bass player.
He and Paul became better musicians over time.

Was. He stopped caring about the bass in 1978.
@@thefonzkiss LIsten to Into The Void off of Psycho Circus. He also immediately when Kiss was finished booked solo shows. I'd say you're wrong.
Beautiful!, absoluetly beautiful!
Wicked bass line! I always liked Gene’s voice.
Absolute magic...
It's perfect!
Favorite Kiss tune. Beautiful rendition!

Just like they hinted at in KISS Exposed, when they harmonized on "I'll Be Back".
Awesome bass playing and a great song!
This was phenomenal!! Love this!
I have never seen this video it's awesome
Great performance! Gene on a LP BASS! Different!
Great vocal!

This is probably my favorite song off of Hotter....
ESPECTACULAR REGISTRO!
Grunge ahead of its time. 1974
GOATS. Both of them.

So good...
Gene rocks~!!
That was fucking awesome!
Thanks for the upload, I remember watching this "live" back in the days! (c:
I watched it and videotaped it and rewatched hundreds of times
Achei lindo os cantando ❤❤
This was amazing! Though I must admit I was hoping to see Paul do Ace’s solo.

gene simmons and paul stanley for ever !!!!!
simply the best..
Paul stanley in his Marty Friedman days
Awesome!!!
2024 ... just seeing this. God, grunge was so hyped. Those insect videos and cardigans ruined my formative years.
Brilliant song.
Great version

They could do a tour of these without singer and thayer. One of the best tunes on hotter than hell.
Nice. Great video. Just found it. Never seen Gene play that bass before. Gibson Les paul shape bass!?
Trey Jones got me here
🔥❤️🔥🔥

Gene's short lived Kurt Cobain period
Which bass does Gene play?

Yeah. You are right about the performance
GENE Simmoins is Holy Moses He's a Prophet of our days and for ever. Yeah Oscar.. You know and i know..
We all will be free when we stop to lie..
sin bruce kulick ni eric singer, este tema no tiene la fuerza q tiene la versión del mtvunplugged

The good ole days before mtv turned into nothing but total shit
