I LOVE book hauls. they inspire me to search books on goodreads and add them to my "to-read" and then eventually read them (eventually being the keyword here.) also you seem so much happier and less stressed since addressing your absence/explaining things and being like "hey i'm gonna read at my pace now" and i'm so happy for you

I got the US cover because the UK cover over here is....... a little dull (it looks a little like a text/study book to be honest). The US cover is so atmospheric looking and art.

As far as I know Maureen Johnson is doing some standalone mystery novels following Stevie Bell as sort of sequel/companion novels? The first is the Box in the Woods and it comes out this year! (I'm super jazzed)
It sounds like Maureen Johnson is doing a Sherlock Holmes-type series with Truly Devious. The next one sounds more like a companion novel, with Stevie going off to a camp to solve a new mystery.
If you like books about the afterlife or what happens after the body is dead on earth, I HIGHLY recommend the TV show on Netflix tackled the Good Place. It's really funny, so underrated and has a lot of meaning to it. I cried at the last episode and I think you would really enjoy it!!
Definitely interested in reading Lore. I really enjoyed The Darkest Minds series by her when I was younger! :) I'm currently reading Thunderhead! Definitely want to read The Invisible life of Addie LaRue this year too!

A cute little graphic novel you should read is “Estranged” by Ethan M Aldridge. It has magic vibes, 80’s fantasy vibes, found family, lgbt metaphors. It’s just great and the art is STUNNING! you should check it out!
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue surprised me!! I picked it up without watching any reviews by booktubers, or reading any reviews, or any of the like. It was mostly due to V.E. Schwab since I read the Shades of Magic series, and those didn't quite stick with me(I may read those again). I am in love with this book! It's a new favorite of mine, and I can't wait to watch your review of the book. You will cry.
