They were a pretty big deal in the area until they decided that they needed to branch out and changed the name to "Druthers" (and the mascot to Andy Dandytale, wandering minstrel/storyteller) and started focusing on fried chicken over burgers which quickly became their downfall. As of today there is only one Druthers location that is still operating.
As a born and bred Londoner, PFC is no longer a "rip off" of KFC, it is it's own brand of fried chicken - 10 minutes from where you were at the PFC are the 3 GOATed PFCs, next time you're in the area, try either Spice Hut, KHF, or Roosters Chicken and Kebab, they're all "PFC" shops!

The yellow one is curry it's kind of like a curry mayonnaise or Curry aioli and it's very nice trust me I've had curry several different places and it's usually quite delicious.
Also, PFC is a staple in Tower Hamlets (exactly where you were) Its better than KFC and not a rip off. You will see many of them in Tower Hamlets. Best one that you should try is: KHF in Stepney Green. Cant wait for part 2
If the only thing bad about the wings place is the second rate ranch dipping sauces I could live with that. The chicken looks awesome - as good or better that what I've had at Wing Stop.

just because it's "knockoff" doesn't mean it's lesser quality. I think the best example in the states is how Aldi operates. they have a lot of "knock off" brands that are the exact same thing. Savoritz is Triscuits, Mama Cozzi's Pizza is DiGiorno Pizza, Friendly Farms is Chobani, Clancy's mirrors many chip brands, Kirkwood is Tyson's Happy Farms is Laughing Cow, and so forth. Tbh I like a lot of the knock offs better since they're not as mass produced and it feels like in many senses they taste is always there. Just my opinion, but I'm always here for a knockoff if it's comparable in quality and saves me money.
