@TheOne42 Thanks for the support! The Yagi and Panel have the best overall of both range and beam with angle being directional antennas. They are each between 32 and 36 degree so you wont reach as far as a grid but you will cover more area. If 1-3 miles is what your shooting for then go for ether one. Just choose your housing.
@CrewRite The Alfa only receives. If you want to transmit you can connect this item to your router which then will transmit the signal in the direction you point it. A complete kit can be found on our site under the router antenna category.
@JasonJonesIsCool This set up can reach up to 8 miles under ideal conditions. In a normal suburban area with houses and trees 3-5 miles is typical. Take a look around on our site for more tutorials and kits.
I have an antenna like this mounted on a pole running a connection to through 3 neighbors yards (about 80ft distance). Running on Linux like a champ. It reads 80% strength at low power output, so I'm sure it could go a lot farther distance if it had to. Great stuff
What they lack to invent in these directional antennas to capture wifi signals is an external power supply, a thick 24v source with an RP-SMA output, so their signal would reach kilometers with a great signal
@SimpleWiFi Great video, i would like to buy from you an external antenna for my Alfa usb card, was wondering which one has the best ratio of distances range compared to beamwidth angle - panel ,Yagi or parabolic grid? intended for indoor use.
I just got your E mail. The company that builds this antenna is Tru-gain.They actually make on that's stronger then that if you pay nearly twice the money. That unit runs at about 32 DBI.
I saw this video on TH-cam and feel very interesting to your package. If my location is downhill position and the nearest WiFi transmitter is hilltop position, can your antenna solve our problem? Look forward to hear from you. Thanks Herman Lee
I live in a remote location.I would like to know if I can get a omni-directional antenna that produces forward gain higher than 18 DBI?.I already purchased a parabolic that has a 5 degree beamwidth.Or 30 dbi.I would like to know if they make a omni-directional as powerful as the parabola or close to the 30 dbi figure as possible.THANKS!.
Not even close. If you see our 14dBi omnidirectional we sell, it will stand almost 4ft high! Because of the physics involved an 18dBi omni antenna will stand almost 10 ft tall!
99% of the antennas on eBay claim overly exaggerated antenna ratings and are poorly designed. You can check out the performance ratings for most of them on Tru Gain's website. You get what you pay for and many companies out there are great at marketing but poor at manufacturing.
@CrewRite on Simplewifi{dot}com there is a category on the left named Router Antennas. We have configured kits there with all our antennas. Feel free to give us a call at 305-798-8505 if you have other questions or needs!
hi! great video btw. can you PM me some info please? i have a awus036h x2. & would like 2 of these antenae + your best cable (about 40ft max x2) i'm in the UK. also how much is the shipping cost please? thank you.
It is infeasible to make an omnidirectional with that much gain, it would be HUGE, a 3 dimensional structure the size of an automobile and would require far more power than any wifi system makes and far more than is permitted by law.
Cable SMA its a shit because lose gain or quality signal for nice work antena conector to sma coneect to alfa n USB 2.0 A Male/ Female Cable USB 10 FT,20ft or 30 FT ( no lose signal)

All your videos are right to the point and most importantly Honest.
Thanks, glad you can see through the B.S. out there...

I connect alfa usb to parobolic. without anten seems 20 ssid. when connect usb alfa to parobolic againg i see 20 wifi ssid. what is problem. thanks

How does the reflecter collect the Tx/Rx wave while it has many empty places or holes
How much is the antenna and cable? I have a hot spot about 1/4 of a mile at a park. What do I need? Thanks
hey 7 degrees is quite narrow, can you add diode laser to help setup the antenna
Hi brother,, what type of coaxial cable can use for 30dBi parabolic antenna

can we use 2000mw alfa card for making this project ?
Yes you can use 2000mw alfa card awus036nh support monitor and packet injection.
Wonder if you can use a travel router that is wireless to hook up to the wifi that you receive and use more than one device
Yes you can in some cases.
@@SimpleWiFi I just ordered the SimpleWiFi Ultra Long Range WiFi Extender G2424 Directional Parabolic Grid (High-Speed Signal Booster) Outdoor Antenna
It say range up to 8 miles so that's good enough for me

Is that an N Male to SMA Male (with the pins)?
Does this kit include the cable and all that,ti checked the website and i saw this kit for $106, but will the pack include everything everything
#simplewifi can we use dual power y cable to give extra power bcz 1 usb 2.0 port give maximum 500mw current ?
No its one cable per port.
@@SimpleWiFi sir my question is alfa awus036nh model is 2000mW and 1 usb 3.0 give 500-800mw . How to give extra power to wifi adapter?
Can the 'LMR400 40’ N-Male - RPTNC Male' connect to the Alfa?

Anyone know if this will work with Verizon's 4GLTE wireless internet service?
This is great! Now i can sniff networks 2 states away haha :/
No they don't make an omni for WiFi that large. Can you send us the link of that 30dBi grid? Largest we have seen is 27dBI.

they should make you invent something smaller and with higher ranger
Feel free to change the laws of physics related to radio waves. Let me know...
What's the range on that thing? The 14 dBi have range of 3 miles, what about this one lmao.
Rumble Frog 56 km rofl
trugain dot org is the site.
