Vogg is one of the best rhythm guitarists in modern metal. Even though he's definitely moved away from the more technical level in the pre-Blood Mantra Decapitated discography you can pick up some of his really intricate nuances in this playthrough. Hope he does more!
To Everyone who still wants him to play that Diminished Scale Abuse style that he did on his earlier albums. Didn't like 300 other tech bands out there emulate Winds of Creation and Nihility? Accept the fact that VOGG is a Pioneer and a Pathfinder. He's continuing his musical journey where ever it may take him. And doesn't have to be the AC/DC of death if he doesn't want to!
I agree he follows his own music journey but Pioneer? Nooo :), many bands was playing brutal on beginning and now they are much softer. Vogg plays really nice for sure and I really enjoy melodies even if I really like first 4 albums :)

The tone on Anticult is the most perfect, flawless death metal tone I've ever heard. Like a knife the size of the moon crashing into the Earth at 1,000mph. To be fair, that's what a 5150III, sick bass, and proper mixing will do for you.

When I first heard Organic I fell in love with this band. And I could hear the Pantera influence. And Coven sounded a bit like Max of Sepultura. And overall the sound was technical, precise, the sound quality was as good as it gets and they hit hard as hell. After that, I was all in. Exceptional band.
I've always loved the Dime influence and as you said, never a rip off, just a nod to Dime with some killer fucking riffs that Dime would def approve of

Hyppyrotta I've seen Decapitated a bunch of times live and it's crushing. He picks the strings with a lot of power, super fast and precise, never makes a mistake. His technique is really good in both end of the spectrum, lead playing and rhythm. To my ears and from what I've seen, he's the best and my favourite, but of course everyone is entitled to their opinion!
@@girlsdigmytube183 i meant how they are played on a single string , to be fair ur tuning doesn't really matter if u know how to play heavy and got an amazing tone , heavyness is 70% tone 20% how you play 10% tunning , look at metallica live when they are using those mesa boogie amps using a standard e tunning now i don't like them as a band but that tone is heavy af , but that's just my opinion , plus lamb of god sound pretty heavy for a drop d band , they also use the drop c# but it's all a matter of preference what i am saying is these single string riffs doesn't really sound different in different tunings

His is a LACS, but Ibanez released some to the American market for one year. They were an X-series MIC, and the one I owned was definitely not an easy guitar to play.
