Love the graphics and sfx. And the music is so good! Like early SNK level. Especially Kabuki's theme. It looks and sounds great for such an early SF2 clone.
I played this for the first time in arcade in India in around 1993. I loved this game so much back then. Sumo was my favourite character and I mostly chose him. Great memories.
I played this game in the arcade years ago, but forgot the name. I kept mixing the title up with Shogun Warriors. I definitely remember that damn kappa.
***** Still you'd think at least one of the characters would have been named "Bob" for variety's sake.......or maybe Steve.....or Bill. How funny would it have been if the female fighter was named Bill?

Voices are really good, very clear sounding!

Has sequel, is named: Blood warriors/Oo-edo Fight
Kappa = the son of a Ninja Turtle and Dhalsim
soooo this game totally has a sequel with digitized sprites and it's the greatest lol
Fujiyama Buster came out before Samurai Shodown by a year. And it was aiming toward SFII more.
and more silly than samsho
Sumo's voice actor has to be the same one that voiced Muscle Power in World Heroes
Ah yeah
They were *so original* about naming their characters
Well, they're actually based off of ancient Japanese folklore.
Back when you could live and enjoy life the man has spoken
the winner got car , a couple rack of rice , and some women.. so japan....
It was great, Thank-You Jesus!
This is the most weird game i had ever seen before.
SA-SHOW TIME!
That's the most homely looking geisha I've ever seen.
Especially one that lives up to the geisha's objective! XD
Kappa's stage so reminds me of Blanka's SF2 stage.
Did that Oni just say "oh my god"? No chip damage either? Yowza the game is slow.

Wait, isn't Shogun warriors the same game?
@@RawrX32009 Thanks. That would explain why i kept mixing it up with Shogun Warriors.
@@chamchamtrigger there is also a sequel called blood warrior/oedo fight
Fo sho time!
5:39 He got some leg too. ;-)
How the hell that benkei n goemon are more powerful than oni and tengu is beyond my mind 😯 tengu n oni are mystical creature n demon right?
Why is the ninja allowed to use weapons while the others fight using their hands and feet?
There were other characters with weapons too. Shogun and Samurai both had swords.
sabu voiced by daisuke gori?
Yet another "Street Fighter II at home".
Oh, like Street Fighter 2!
cool game. I would play it.
I've got a general idea what everything else is in Japanese culture but a Sabu? That one's got me stumped.
WaffleAfterHours Spoke too soon. Had to look up Benkei too.
Thats an ancient japanese firefighter
Y'know just because this is clearly a knock off of Samurai Showdown doesn't mean the names have to be so......straight forward basic.
Terry Jones XD Yeah! Expecially if the shogun it's a robot(you know...like every basic shogun)
Well the Shogun Zords certainly were XD

This actually came out first.
leroystanks No it's not, this one is from'92...SF2 is from '91, there's no excuse.
Baby Ninja
Nice
