📌Had to pin a comment. So many people have mentioned Tricia's boots. We'll share more about them when the channel catches up to Homer & Seward. Trish wears them everyday up here. Here is the link. There are several styles and Trish got the fish amzn.to/2MYXebv
I ordered these boots from Amazon and they were very comfortable. BUT, I needed them starting the first of April in Alaska and that meant during what this Texan felt was really COLD weather. My toes were cold with wool socks in Texas in the house, so I sent them back. Over a hundred dollars was too expensive for just rubber boots. But like I said, they WERE very comfortable.
I was in the Army stationed in Anchorage at Ft Richardson for 2 years back in the late 70's the Army had a rec center in Seward where the soldiers could go fishing on charter boats, every year some of them needed new engines, so me being a wrecker operator I would spend a couple weeks helping swap engines, beautiful country, I have been to Wittier a couple times and stood on the beach you were camped on, and the changes, on your way back up to Anchorage you passed Portage Glacier, when I was there you could walk up and touch it, that's how much it's changed, great video keep them coming!
This is the only show that I watch as soon as it becomes available. The helpful hints are great. The upgrades are very helpful. But the interaction between Trish and Marc is just wonderful. A regular family working through life is something to watch and takes note. Thanks guys for putting something on TH-cam that we all can watch and enjoy. More Trish cooking hints and demonstration. Happy Travels Ya'll
Been following you guys and a few other youtubers who live in their RV/Van full time. Most of them claimed they live this lifestyle by choice, but you can easily tell they really don't have a choice. They will be living on the street without their beat up rv, van, or their parents!! You guys on the other hand are completely different! You guys definitely live this lifestyle by choice and truly enjoying it! and with a lot of class too! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us!
I watch a lot of RV video blogs and I have to say that yours are right at the top. They have good flow, great editing, great interaction with Tricia and the kids. Keep up the good work.
I have never had the desire to go to Alaska until I viewed this video. This will be on our list of places to go in the next couple of years! Thank you!
Great season guy's, I did the trip in 16 and loved seeing alaska again thru your eyes. I switched to lithium and solar 5 years ago and would NEVER go back. Just a note on charging from your truck is that your alternator will fry your lithium, it's best to use a DC2DC charger that has a lithium setting on it. They run form 2-$400 most places. Safe travels CHEERS
I passed y’all on Parks Hwy near Trappers Creek. We were headed to Anchorage, then to Valdez for some fishing. Glad y’all could come up to Alaska and experience it! I’m from Texas, but have lived here for 6 years and my wife and I are here for good! Keep these great videos coming!
Great video! Love how you guys bounce back and forth with commentary. Solar is the best upgrade you can do to set freedom to the next level. Just finished a DIY install of 1920 watts on the roof, 1200ah of Lifeline batteries (wish we could have gone lithium) and a 3000w Xantrex PSW inverter. The possibilities are endless now!! Keep up the great content.
Just got back from Alaska in our Class B RV. Spent a month in Alaska. The trip was amazing! Your videos are awesome and actually experiencing Alaska in person puts it on a different level. So much to see, not enough time nor money to see it all so we focused on our list of priorities as well as listened to suggestions of people we would meet along the way. Our top 3 were The Dalton Highway, Denali National Park with a small side trip to the movie prop bus from Into The Wild located at 49th State Brewing Company in Healy, and marine life cruise in Seward. Anything else we did was a bonus.
My wife and I have been watching your videos on a MacBook Pro but we got a 65 inch smart TV this week and this episode was beautiful on the big screen. We are heading out for two months out west in a few weeks. Your channel helped us to just get out and do it.
AH that is sweet you just got a 65 inch smart TV . Is it a SAMSUNG ? I bet the videos of Alaska on it are stunning. I just had temp use of a friends 40 inch TV & enjoyed it . It just fit in my entertainment center . Have a safe trip outwest. Are ya's RV'ers ? What type of rig do ya's have > I wish I had some sort of rig .
We are re-viewing all the Alaska trip videos! Fun to see the changes a few years bring. 😃 Our Alaska trip will begin in 7 weeks, and this helps us so much - thank you!
The most important things to remember to not have any problem on the road is to pay attention and keep your speed down. I think that many travelers want to portray their trip to Alaska as a big adventure, As you found out, it's a cool road trip. Not the big adventure that it was maybe 50 years ago. Next month we head south again on trip number 31 down the Alaska Hwy. I really like your map transitions. Pretty cool! This was a very light year for mosquitos. Another great video...
I just found your channel. I must say that you 2 are natural on camera. I used to do an outdoor hunting and fishing show and have interviewed many people who can't speak on camera without a lot of "um's & and & ah" Great job guys. Good camera work and editing. Again nice work
This video update was excellent! We won't be going back to Alaska for several years, but I always go to your videos for specific locations we are traveling to and these will be a "must do" before we plan our trip. Jerry works from the road so I am not as concerned about cell coverage after your comments, but it is a must for him to stay connected. You guys are awesome! Trish, I see that you now have the standard issue Alaska boots! Love! Safe travels!
Glad you touched on the higher costs in Alaska.... some just don't realize it's seasonal & everything has to be brought in & in some areas only by boat cause trucks can't get thru... for me it's worth it because it's so beautiful
Great quality to the video. We spent a little more than 3 weeks RVing around Alaska this summer, and it was amazing. Can't wait to get back. Also, can't wait to check out more of your videos. Well done.
So proud of you share all your videos with us it looks like you're all having a great time and doing it while you're young enough to enjoy it with your kids God bless you be safe
Another enjoyable video. Of the items listed, the units connecting the leaf springs caught my attention as it is an upgrade I planned on making anyway and will further check them out. Thanks again.
Great video again! Couldn’t agree more when it comes to the air bags. Keeping everything level is very important. Nothing worse that having someone flash you with high beams thinking you have your brights on when it’s really just your nose in the sky. Also being level keeps your front suspension geometry correct which is very important while towing a heavy load. Safe travels!
I put a TransferFlow 46 gallon on my Tundra last year. OMG its the best. I can get to the beach with ZERO fuel stops whereas before I usually stopped twice. I made it 585 miles to Disney with only 1 stop. Best thing ever.
I absolutely love your channel, its on my bucket list to be able to camp a full 7 day not including travel time. This Alaska trip looks refreshing, thanks for sharing.
A few years late to the game however I have just returned from Alaska, a 9500 mile trip. I can tell you all the upgrades are necessary! I broke the frame on my 5th wheel and totaled it. I was able to have it welded and pulled it home. If there’s a weak spot on your camper, the Alcan will find it.
Someday.... we just gone out with our rig for the first time. love your advice on how to not let the dip ruin the trip. we have a 18 ft single axle TT towing using a tacoma. I like your advice-on get out with what you have rather than wait for the perfect rig. The RV community is so nice too.
Hello Marc & Trish , I love your alaska video,s I lived on Emendorf, AFB for a year and half 1974-75 and I loved Alaska watching these video,s brings a lot of memories , keep those amazing video,s coming, god bless ur family.
Fellow Air Force Veteran Thank You for your Service . My Cousin was stationed @ Elmendorf AFB when the earthquake hit Anchorage . He worked in the Accounting Department .
KYD - You totally rock the RV scene. Love how you guys put your videos together. We were so inspired by you we have started our journey...we're not on the road yet...but getting close. Thank you so much for your inspiring content. xxx
We just love your videos and your story telling. I really appreciate the recap of the mods because it is on our list to get up to Alaska. Can't wait to see the return trip on the other route. Thanks again for your videos.
Loving your channel!! Was wondering if you would do a “winter” series? Winter upgrades, and reviews. My wife and I just bought our first RV and plan on wintering in it this year, so it will be interesting! That’s for all the fun videos, I have enjoyed them.
Another great video, so much information for those who are doing the same as you are. I'd love to one day. Loved seeing the views as well, so beautiful! But then again, I think every state has it beauty, Alaska just has so much rustic beauty. Thanks for taking us along!
The upgrades episode and the follow up were excellent and very useful. I’ve been a police officer for over 25 years. There’s a motto in my profession that also applies to your upgrades, “Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.” Have you considered tpms sensors for your trailer tires?
Yes, we use Tireminder. Great system. I need to do a video. What we have is on our Amazon page under RV Essentials www.amazon.com/shop/keepyourdaydream
Lol better win the lotto first Love this Channel but it's deceiving as they probably make bank from TH-cam and their day jobs. Like boating, RVing isn't a cheap habit
Mark & Trish, Deb and I live through you vicariously! Love the videos and your reviews. Keep it safe, drive safe and see you next Sunday, from our campsite.
These videos are so helpful with the information you are providing. We are retired living in Colorado and are planning a trip to Alaska next July. Marc I was very pleased you did a review on the Hensley hitch as we are looking at this upgrade for our travel trailer. Thanks again for this information and we look forward to your next video. Safe travels
Marc and Tricia, all your videos are amazing and you "B roll" is absolutely stunning! Please keep up all the great work you guys are doing! P.S. Already waiting for next Sundays video! Thanks for all that you guys are doing and please stay safe! See ya next week!
Love the adventures you guys have shared. The upgrades are smart. I had a dirt skirt on my class a and on my pickup. Saves whatever you are towing, it's 107 at nine p. m. here in Glendale Arizona. You're the smart travelers. Looking forward to next vlog. 👍😎
Loved the video. Particularly your review on your rig’s improvements. We plan a four month trip to Alaska next year. I did work in Anchorage for four years, visited all the places you mentioned, but didn’t “take my time and enjoyed it”. So I plan to this time. If you are planning a night out in Anchorage, visit the F Street Station. The very best beer battered Halibut and Caesar salad you have ever tasted. Plus the atmosphere in the place is amazing. The place was owned by a bush pilot and is decorated all in “airplane”. The other place is outside of town, a local hangout, The Peanut Farm, great burgers. Eat out on the patio, and bring the camera. In Girdwood, ride the tram to the top of Alyeska ski resort and get a bite to eat at “ The Double Musky”... Great places. Enjoy and I hope you get these comments on time.
Love watching you videos it seems to transport me right we're you are and I get pumped up for my family's next adventure. Keep up the good work love love love your videos thank you.
I live just 20 miles from the morryde plant. I had there system put on a 35’ travel trailer. What a huge difference when towing. Great product. I hated to see it go when we bought our fiver this spring.
Great video's. I am getting back into camping after 8 years. No more 5th wheel camping, going with a 20 foot 2 plus my 80 year old mother in law. Oh and dog lol. Life changes and retirement is for three of us now. Pretty much everyone was affected by Covid. Just have to say great video's, excellent Hensley review and yuup a Hensley Cub will be bought. Have a great camping season. We have one more year 2022 to get everything lined up.
My 2019 F350 has a very small wire for charging the battery. I added a #8 wire for both positive and negative from one of my truck batteries through a quick disconnect plug to my trailer. I have a Mobile Suites 40 KSSB 4 with electric over hydraulic disc brake and it improved the braking because the braking system uses the trailer battery. The battery is also being drained by the inverter for the house refrigerator. I used a 30 amp fuse at the truck battery and the same at the trailer battery. You can buy the wire at Home Depot and it comes in a 30 ft. length.
Just started watching; you guys are great, so real and so relateable. I am really enjoying your videos and I look forward to watching more and keeping up with what you guys are doing with my subscription and notifications. Thank for taking the time to share your dream lifestyle with those of us who are in the dream and planning stage.
Such beautiful footage of Alaska. And glad that you’ve been properly prepared for the journey. 😀 We are considering driving it with our rig next summer, so we are eagerly following along and taking down tips!
Ha! The whole time you were singing the praises of the upgrades I kept thinking back to those 17 flat tires you had in two days time when y'all first hit the road....hahaha! You've come a long way, baby! :-)
I ordered a pigtail tester from Amazon for about 15.00. If no power to the 12 volt plug, check in connector box under the hood for the fuse. There is a sequence in the bulletin for hooking up. Turn off the truck before plugging into avoided blowing fuse. Then turn on truck and step on the brake pedal to power 12 voltage. Went through that with our 350 and Grand Design. Ford dealer didn't know about it. Neither did the RV dealer. Discovered it from an idependent sshop.
My F 150 was shipped without the relay to provide charging to the trailer through the 7 pin connector. Had one put in and now I can at least get some charging while driving. The wiring harness is too small to pump enough amps to charge if the house batteries are really run down.
Thank you for all the video you have been posting this season and other since day one. The info on your upgrades was very helps. May the Lord bless all of you in ways you can’t imagine, take care and happy adventures 😎 Frank
Very cool guys, definitely will be looking into more protection for the 5th wheel, I.E. diamond plate for the front of the trailer, air suspension with onboard air for the truck, and solar for the 5th wheel upgrade.
Thanks for the updates on all the upgrades! We've been working on upgrading my father-in-law's Reflection and will be doing more vids on the progress as well. We have heard the same "horror stories" and like you guys have found most to be nothing more than old wives tails. Glad to see that one of the fledglings will be coming back to the nest, I'm sure he will have a lot of stories to tell too. Travel Safe OLT
Let me tell you my wife and I love you videos we have had just about every kind of camper there is .Now that I am fully retired from Caterpillar with 45 years we plan to trade in our 32 foot travel trailer for a class a motor home. We were just tired of hooking and unhooking and the rest of what goes with having a pull behind so hope to see you on the road sometime good luck with your travels and be safe.
📌Had to pin a comment. So many people have mentioned Tricia's boots. We'll share more about them when the channel catches up to Homer & Seward. Trish wears them everyday up here. Here is the link. There are several styles and Trish got the fish amzn.to/2MYXebv
I wear Xtratuf almost everyday, better know as break up boots.
Love those boots!
Looks like the British "Wellies" (Wellingtons). Nice, btw
Looks like she is wearing Xtratuf boots, my company uses them exclusively in all of our Alaska Seafood processing plants.
I ordered these boots from Amazon and they were very comfortable. BUT, I needed them starting the first of April in Alaska and that meant during what this Texan felt was really COLD weather. Gets the juices flowing and alleviates some of the common concerns. Thank for dispelling the “fear”. All too often fear sells.
I’m so in love with y’alls personality, homelife, and positivity!! You can tell you love this. This makes me so happy, and hopeful. Safe travels!
I like your new transition when you go to the map!

Another great video!!! Look forward to them every Sunday 👍
Your videos keep getting better and better. Thank you so much for sharing them.
Gratuitous comment to offset your expenses. Thumbs up for some of the best content on TH-cam.
You two are such a fantastic team. My wife and I really enjoy your videos and your genuine concern for all of us. Keep doing what you are doing!!!

We flew to Alaska this summer and rode all over on Alaska Railroad. I can’t wait to return with the RV! Alaska is a bucket list destination for sure.
Just got back from Alaska in our Class B RV. Spent a month in Alaska. The trip was amazing! Your videos are awesome and actually experiencing Alaska in person puts it on a different level. Bob Shaw we have a 31 ft 5th wheel and love it. And yes it’s a Samsung tv.
Recently found TH-cam on our big screen and Ya - these vids are SO beautiful on the big screens!
We are re-viewing all the Alaska trip videos! Fun to see the changes a few years bring. 😃 Our Alaska trip will begin in 7 weeks, and this helps us so much - thank you!

Great quality to the video. We spent a little more than 3 weeks RVing around Alaska this summer, and it was amazing. Can't wait to get back. Also, can't wait to check out more of your videos. Well done.
You two are amazing together! Your teaching techniques are awesome, thank you for taking the time to make us a part of your journey
Practical, helpful, useful and warm hearted, always appreciate the cleanness of your clarity--does that make sense? Safe travels.
I put a TransferFlow 46 gallon on my Tundra last year. OMG its the best. I can get to the beach with ZERO fuel stops whereas before I usually stopped twice. I made it 585 miles to Disney with only 1 stop. Best thing ever.
Great info your comments were spot on. We did the trip last year and plan to do it again. Your videos have been fantastic, keep up the great work
Your vids have gotten so good and I think I'm about to go to your school. You do so well with the tips and the vlog, and the inspiring scenic clips.
I absolutely love your channel, its on my bucket list to be able to camp a full 7 day not including travel time. This Alaska trip looks refreshing, thanks for sharing.
Another great video from you guys! Thanks for taking all of us along with you!
Awesome as usual! I think about your new episode all day on Sunday. So happy when I see it posted.

Thank you so much for your inspiring content. xxx
Awesome! Great job making it happen. Not easy. Worth it.

I need to quit my job and do this fulltime. Life is short.
Man, I wish!
Lol better win the lotto first
Love this Channel but it's deceiving as they probably make bank from TH-cam and their day jobs. Like boating, RVing isn't a cheap habit
The most entertaining Q&A I have ever watched.
Thanks Mark and Trisha for another wonderful video and great information Alan.
Mark & Trish, Deb and I live through you vicariously! Love the videos and your reviews. Keep it safe, drive safe and see you next Sunday, from our campsite.
love trish's alaska style foot wear !!
Great video. Thank you for the evaluation on each upgrade. You’ve helped me narrow down my list of future upgrades.
I look forward to seeing your video drop on in my subscriptions every week!
Awesome video, great information. Alaska is unbelievable. Gonna have to plan an rv trip there someday. Thanks for sharing. Safe travels y’all
VERY nice video and great info! Thanks!
Love the technical vids! Driver fatigue is a real deal. Protecting your investment and equipment is easy $. Safe travels!
Great video! Lots of very useful information to plan a trip accordingly. You make it something to look forward to and do-able. Continued safe travels!
Thanks for the updates on all the upgrades! I`ve Learned alot about Safety Rving Well. From You`ll . Wow some people are just making the Dots connect.
Another Hensley video is coming with how to hook-up. After the video, you'll learn faster than I did.
Marc and Tricia, all your videos are amazing and you "B roll" is absolutely stunning! Please keep up all the great work you guys are doing!
P.S. Already waiting for next Sundays video!
Thanks for all that you guys are doing and please stay safe!
See ya next week!
Couldn't hardly wait for the video to post. As always you do not disappoint, see ya next week! Safe Travels
Strong work, very informative and you balance each other very well in the presentation.
Love the adventures you guys have shared. The upgrades are smart. I had a dirt skirt on my class a and on my pickup. Saves whatever you are towing, it's 107 at nine p. m. here in Glendale Arizona. You're the smart travelers. Looking forward to next vlog. 👍😎
Really like this video and the recap on upgrades ! Thanks you guys and Happy Trails to you !
New follower but LOVE your videos. I'm a huge fan and can't wait to start RVing like you guys. Keep the vids coming.
Loved the video. Particularly your review on your rig’s improvements. We plan a four month trip to Alaska next year. I did work in Anchorage for four years, visited all the places you mentioned, but didn’t “take my time and enjoyed it”. So I plan to this time. Great episode! Thanks for sharing!
Your videos just get better n better.
Your videos are so good I only watch them when I'm at work on the clock. Ahhh So relaxing :-)

Trish I want to thank you for the great idea about cleaning strawberries.
Best RV channel on TH-cam. Great video!
Great video again guys! Yes, Sailun tires! We love ours after having several blow outs - Tom & Cheri'
I live just 20 miles from the morryde plant. I had there system put on a 35’ travel trailer. What a huge difference when towing. Great product. I hated to see it go when we bought our fiver this spring.
Stumbled upon your youtube today. Great job. To the point and you guys are fun to watch and work together well. So a subscription for me.
Welcome. We have a playlist for each season - easier to watch in order :)
You guys seem to refine your editing with every video! I really like the road map fading in.
You guys are the best, really enjoy your channel. We were full time for 2 1/2 years, plan on getting back on the road soon.
You can buy the wire at Home Depot and it comes in a 30 ft. length.
Thanks for the vlog. Lots of cool information.
Trish, I love the boots, LOL. Great update guys.........
Just started watching; you guys are great, so real and so relateable. I am really enjoying your videos and I look forward to watching more and keeping up with what you guys are doing with my subscription and notifications. Thank for taking the time to share your dream lifestyle with those of us who are in the dream and planning stage.
Great video looking forward to next week!!
Such beautiful footage of Alaska. And glad that you’ve been properly prepared for the journey. 😀 We are considering driving it with our rig next summer, so we are eagerly following along and taking down tips!
Thanks for answering those questions. It'll be a great reference point if we ever head up to Alaska. Safe travels.
Ha! The whole time you were singing the praises of the upgrades I kept thinking back to those 17 flat tires you had in two days time when y'all first hit the road....hahaha! You've come a long way, baby! :-)
Great video as always. Thanks
The upgrades are neccessary if you deem them to be. I've done upgrades to my rig that were important to me that some wouldn't. Keep the info coming
May the Lord bless all of you in ways you can’t imagine, take care and happy adventures 😎
Frank
Very cool guys, definitely will be looking into more protection for the 5th wheel, I.E. diamond plate for the front of the trailer, air suspension with onboard air for the truck, and solar for the 5th wheel upgrade.
Thanks for sharing, can't wait to get to Alaska. Can't believe they don't box in the leaf springs at the factory. Look forward to next week!
What a great video, thanks for the updates!
Mosquito season is usually Mothers day to Fathers day here in the mountains of NH.
Great video guys and thanks for the Alaska tips!
another great video for a Sunday evening back east :)
