- What do homeless people want for Christmas? If you were going to buy them any Christmas gift they asked for, what would they say? I met a lot of inspiring people living on the streets and the answers were unexpected (and I don’t just mean the crumpets). I hope you are inspired by these answers!

i believe that when people find themselves in a low point of their life, they learn to appreciate the most simplest things in life others may take for granted

We would feel better and they would be poor in a year because we haven't solved their actual issues. Mental health, lack of affordable housing, lack of jobs paying a living wage and people who are accepting of all of this...are the real issues.

The guy that just wanted chicken, potatoes and veggies broke my heart... he just looked like something in his eyes makes him feel broken. I wanted to hug him.

It made me feel sad for the last lady who went in store also picked out what looked like a puzzle/colouring book.
Yes, she was so sweet. The colouring book surprised me too but apparently adult collating books are actually growing in popularity. I think it is calming and relaxing. Meditative

Don't be sad. It keeps them busy and helps keep their mind off the bad things. Like I use them to help calm my anxiety
The sad bit for me was she wanted to talk to her family a thing alot of us take for granted 😔
I was waiting for someone to say “a warm bed to sleep in and a shower and a nice dinner”

That's a beautiful thing to say. Remember, help when you can, even if it's s little thing. I always give the homeless what I can or what I have on me, a sandwich, sweets, a bag of nuts, whatever. Or i just take my time and listen to their stories, because sometimes they just need some strangers who are nice to them.
How can you only have 118 subs? I thought I was misreading the number. That is way to low for this kind of channel.

One day a homeless man asked me to buy him food I had no cash on me so I said no to him
Later I realized that I could go with him and pay by card to get him food I feel really bad now even I cried I’m looking for him but can’t find him anywhere we should always help even if it’s a little than regretting it later
It’s not their choice it can happen to any of us at anytime

I used to give food like dough nuts one time I walked around giving them from a big Tim Hortons box and It felt great to help the homeless but Every other time i offered food I would get yelled at “I want beer” “just give me money” “can I have something else?” Etc so I don’t do it anymore in my city
Why would you need him to come with you to buy him food? Don’t give homeless people cash because they will spend it on drugs. Can’t trust giving cash. If they want food, then go buy them something and bring it back to them.
Is not your fault, somehow we are teach to not help people on the streets, at least myself, when kid my mom used to pullme away from homeless people. It's a teaching that must be changed for sure, do not worry you will have lot of opportunities to help someone in need.

These people are someones children, siblings or parents. Show kindness when you see people struggling because it can happen to anyone.
And sadly with people losing their jobs and their homes to the pandemic it is happening to them
Bleeding heart do-gooders need to stop feeling sorry for homeless people. There scammers, stop giving them handouts
Close the soup kitchens and shelters and you'll see how quickly these people start taking care of themselves

Homeless people are the most genuine and down to earth folks I had the pleasure to meet to all my friends I made when I was working as security may God bless yall wherever yall are
Bleeding heart do-gooders need to stop feeling sorry for homeless people. Stop with the handouts and close the soup kitchens and shelters and you'll see how quickly these people start taking care of themselves

It’s not only the money/presents u give…. It’s your kind and respectful way and the time you put in to listen and talk to these people. I think one of the worst things with being homeless is the exclusion from society and being treated as like you don’t exist. And thanks to Covid we all know how it is to feel lonely or not talking to anybody. It literally drives you crazy. You are one amazing person and you definitely gave those people also emotional support and they won’t forget you that quickly. Keep the good things up 👍 much love from Germany ✌️

I am inspired. From watching many videos like this one. If I ever get to a point where I have a little extra money, I think I would get a lot of joy from doing something like this as well. I took a life skills class in high school. We went on a field trip to the city to serve lunch to the homeless. It was rewarding to see the genuine Smiles of appreciation on people's faces. Homelessness is not what stereotypes says it is. Keep in mind everybody that the tides could change and it could be you on the streets one day. You would want somebody to help you or at least bring you a little Joy. Warm wishes to everyone and I hope y'all are staying safe.

Why are homeless people the nicest people its so wholesome literally nobody does anything for them and there just all nice and happy
I've been there. Just because your on the streets, it doesn't change who you are. Not unless you've had a tramatic incident that has caused you to become homeless, (i.e. drug addiction, alcohol addiction, loss of home, family, job, etc. It's not always that easy to get back off the streets once you're on them. All you can do is pray that God looks over you and that you are safe from harm.
So what do you want for Christmas?
Smart home less man: Umm a house and 100000 dollars please

Being "down on your luck" really opens up your eyes mind and your heart. Christmas gifts are not important. Food, warmth shelter..... FAMILY AND LOVE
