  • Do you have neck or upper back pain and are you looking for a pillow to improve your sleeping posture? This pillow was made specifically for neutral alignment in the cervical spine to eliminate pain and stiffness in the neck and upper back due to arthritis, neck injury or other conditions. In this review, I cover the quality, design, features, fit and pros/cons of this pillow.
    Groove Pillows reached out to me as a physical therapist asking for an honest review of their EasySleeper pillow. They sent me their pillow free of charge but had no say in the content of the review. I do receive a small commission from orders received through my unique link.

    Just bought one after getting the Simba Hyrbid and then Tempur Cloud, both of which are very comfortable but terrible for sleeping with haha. I'm really hopeful this will work 🤞 May update this comment soon if it does.

    I have spinal stenosis & scoliosis. Symptoms: neck, back, shoulder pain. I’m so glad you mentioned NO ODOR‼️ I’ve been buying pillow, after pillow. Wondering if this pillow will work for me❓

    • @eleven.eleven.
      @eleven.eleven. ปีที่แล้ว

      The no odor is not true. This is one of the smelliest pillows I have ever purchased. That is why I returned it. My neck and face swelled up after sleeping on it. I put it outside for 3 days like they recommend before sleeping on it. All the company could say about it was that it has "VoCs" from "off gassing". VoCs are the same chemicals in house paint.

    I stopped using these memory foam neck pillows and opted for a medium goose down pillow that I can adjust under my neck. I find my neck pain was much better using the down pillow and worse with the memory foam which has less give.

    Some reviews said the thicker side was uncomfortable, but the dip is on the thicker side. What happens if you prefer the thinner side?

    • @MovementFunction
      @MovementFunction  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can try flipping it around and using the thinner side, you just wouldn't have the dip to use when lying on your back.

    I have a bed that raises up for watching tv or reading, etc. Sometimes I get a stiff neck if I fall asleep before I lower it. Any feedback on using this pillow with a raised bed? I do think I need a new mattress as this one is getting a hump about where my legs hit on the mattress. I do like it slightly raised to relieve the curvature in my back because my butt has become to large, to put it bluntly and I always sleep on my back. It is wonderful raising my legs slightly for circulation problems so I can put my compression socks on!

      @MovementFunction  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Mary Jane, I think this pillow would work well with a raised bed. It offers good neck support without elevating the head. Sounds like a new mattress would be helpful, too.

    What wedge would you use when you're told you need to elevate your head?

    • @MovementFunction
      @MovementFunction  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have a specific recommendation as the best fit depends on how much elevation is needed and for what purpose (neck/head issue, acid reflux, or...?). Also, some people find it more comfortable to elevate the entire head of the bed instead of using a wedge. I suggest asking for more information from your doctor who recommended the wedge.

    thanks for the video! Did this pillow not work for you for side sleeping then?
    It seems like you just have a very normal sized head - i'm confused at how it wouldn't therefore cause pretty much everyone the same issue i.e their head dipping lower when side sleeping

    • @MovementFunction
      @MovementFunction  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ryan, there's more to the fit than size of the head. Broad shoulders, neck thickness and neck length play a part as well. I have fairly broad shoulders and a long neck, which affects the position and angle of my head on the pillow. Also, my neck and shoulders aren't perfectly symmetrical, so the pillow worked better for one side than the other (as do most pillows because of my asymmetry).

    Do you have a pillow you highly recommend to keep everything aligned? Maybe even one for stomach sleepers? (tho, I'll sleep in any position that will help me)

    • @MovementFunction
      @MovementFunction  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      An ergonomic, aka orthopedic, pillow works well for alignment when you sleep with neutral posture and the pillow fits your spinal curve and head. Maintaining alignment while sleeping on the stomach is difficult but can be done if you rest the side of your head against the side of the pillow (allowing enough space to breathe of course). This works as long as the pillow supports your head without pushing it up.

    If you have BPPV on the left side would this type of pillow be helpful?

    • @MovementFunction
      @MovementFunction  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      David, this type of pillow might be helpful if it fits your head and neck by providing enough support to keep your head and neck in midline without allowing your head to tip backwards. When I tried the pillow, the top of my head tipped back slightly, enough to possibly be provocative for someone with BPPV. I'm sorry I can't be more specific than that, but it all depends on the individual fit.

      @@MovementFunction Yes, so although I have two herniated disks in my cervical spine from a 2018 hit from behind car accident, this pillow may not be right for me. Just learned the Epley M. last week at my ENT's office. I tested positive for left ear vertigo a year ago this month after my first vertigo incident, which was pretty severe. Also had a less severe incident a year ago, as well as one this past September and October. Past 2 weeks been having daily headaches when my head is turned left while lying down. So will watch your EM video again and practice what you taught in it. Thanks!.

    Shadiest company. They claim to have a 100 day trail with money back guarantee. When I didn't like my pillow and tried to return it they literally did everything they could so I wouldn't return, including trying to convince me to give it away to a charity. When I persisted they tried to get me to ship it internationally on my own money, when the pillow came from Ohio. When I brought this up the guy finally gave me the US return address. I shipped it, had to pay for shipping myself, it was $22. I sent it on April 1st, it arrived on April 6th, it is now May and I still haven't gotten my money back. Worst 100 day trial ever.
