The original holiday staple. As a kid I did not get the overall story aside form the struggle with light setups and the humor involving the animals, but as I got older and became a father this film really resonated with me. And since I know the burn of not getting my expected holiday pay the resonance continues to go up lol. Another film I highly recommend for those who have never seen it nor added it to their holiday routine. And every time I see it I always want egg nog. Great video!
So true about kids swearing being hilarious. I remember when my daughter was about three or four and we were at a friend's house. The living room was packed with people hanging out, so my friend walked along the back of the couch to get around the room without interrupting anyone. My daughter looks up at him and goes, "James, what the f**k are you doing?" We all about died laughing. We knew we shouldn't laugh, but we couldn't help it. Not only did she swear, but she used it in a proper sentence with proper context. We couldn't resist.
I love seeing snow too. I grew up having white xmases. Now i live in the deep south. And apparantly the south just isn't doing winter this year. 77 xmas day. BOOO!!!
For real!!! What the hell was that??? Today it's 35, so finally something I can get behind. Now if only we could get 1/18 inch of snow so that I can build a "Southern snowman" made of ice and dirt.
Lmao! Love your reviews! (It’s a bit nipply outdoors) That single line has become a part of our family vernacular, so much so that I’ve stated nipply inadvertently in conversations. Lol! Here’s to more fantastic reviews in the upcoming years! Trivia time: it was supposed to end with a line from Todd and Margo. They were supposed to be in their living room and they were supposed to say something like “and after all of this Santa Claus never came to visit” and the Santa Claus display that was ejected into space from the sewer explosion was to come crashing through the roof into their living room.
Hahahah nipply!! Thank you so much, Zenomorph! Once again you have delivered the goods with trivia that I had NO IDEA about. That would have been amazing to see, lol. I hope that you have had a great holiday and weekend, and I hope that the New Year treats you right.
Jene those shirts were the best thing I’ve ever received from China. lol. We feel kind of like we’re cheating by watching a movie we’ve already seen, but we love it so much and really wanted to share with our TH-cam friends like you :) I hope you had a wonderful Christmas as well, and I also hope ALL GOOD THINGS for you in 2022!!
Merry Christmas guys! I'm ashamed to say I've never watched this movie. In fact the first thing I regularly watched with Chevy Chase was Community . I know stories about what a nightmare he is to work with but he does have a gift for physical comedy. I love your shirts!
Hey no time like the present, Michael! haha. Thank you so much for watching as usual, I really appreciate your support. I have never seen Community, but I know all about it and have heard how great he is in that. I had not heard stories about his difficult nature until later, yeah, and it's a shame because it definitely counters the "Clark Griswold" image a lot of people have of him. But always good to remember these are just actors and real people with real emotions, I guess. I hope you have a great holiday season and New Year, Michael!
1. When chaos is required just find Eddie. 🤣 2. GOOF: The lights outside the attic window don't match the pattern with the rest of the house. 3. My favorite part is when Ellen pulls the chain on the trap door. 🤣🤣 4. Mae Questel played Aunt Bethany. She was the original Betty Boop and Olive Oyl, This was her last gig. 5. In the big rant scene the other actors had Chevy's lines written on placards so he wouldn't get his lines out of order. 6. Living next door to them must be kind of like living next door to the Bundys. 7. Fun fact; Chase actually broke his finger karate chopping the reindeer. 8. Clark's boss is Brian-Doyle-Murphy (Bill Murry's brother) calls him greaseball when he drops off his gift, then screws up his name right until the very end. 9. Ellen is played by Beverly DeAngelo. She also played in "Every Which way but Loose" with Clint Eastwood and in "Hair". EWWBL would be a great first time share but "Hair" could give you copywrite issues. Finally, she has a couple of kids with Al Pacino. I like her better than the sales girl.😍😋🥰 10. This IS my Christmas movie every year 11. Fun fact: This is the only Vacation where Audrey is older than Rusty. 12. My picks in order: Christmas, Vacation, European and finally Last Wages.
Hey from Chicago, come anytime we got alot of fun stuff. West loop, old Town, Lincoln Park, and Boys town( N Halsted) is the best. Plenty of great food. Side note love the shirts. Best lines in this movie.
As soon as my hubby and I saw your hubby and you would be watching, we joined you for the also-umpteenth time watching. I think the most surprising part of this movie is that it strongly suggests Clark is competent enough at his job to earn a big enough bonus to have an inground swimming pool installed. I love Clark, but how is the building he works in still standing? Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a Griswold night!
Hahaha that is a HILARIOUS and insightful angle that I had never considered! haha. I hope you guys had an amazing holiday, and I'm so happy that you found my channel. I can't wait to hear more of your thoughts and comments in 2022! Merry Christmas to you both :)
This is also my all time favorite Christmas movie! John Randolph (''Clark Sr.'') & (the great) William Hickey (''Lewis'') were also both in the classic John Huston crime comedy ''Prizzi's Honor'' (1985) with Jack Nicholson, Kathleen Turner & Anjelica Huston (who rightfully won the Oscar for Best Actress in Supporting Role). Btw (a lil' anecdote), my sister. who lives in Italy, once visited Chicago, and she wanted to see Oprah Winfrey show, but it was fully booked, so she ended up at a Jerry Springer show (HAHAHAHA!!) Merry Christmas greetings from The Netherlands to you David & Marc!
Peter! Aww Merry Christmas to you too, and thank you so much. I love LOVE the Oprah anecdote thrown in. That is hilarious. You know, I did not know that they were both in Prizzi's Honor, and I've also never seen it. I want to, but have not yet. I knew she won the Oscar for it and that it's a modern classic, so I think I would enjoy. I hope you and yours are are having a great weekend, and I wish only the best for you in 2022!
This movie is so dumb and I mean that as the highest compliment LOL. Little known fact: I had a crush on Chevy Chase when I was younger. No clue why LOL. I loved him in “Funny Farm”, too.
I think there's a really good Twilight Zone episode to be made entirely from Todd and Margo's point of view. Really scary. At the end Rod Serling would deliver the moral about what can happen to stuck-up assholes. Merry Christmas! Looking forward to a new year full of reactions.
Oh my God I would totally watch this!! Insanely excellent idea. Merry Christmas to you too!! You are an amazing human, and I appreciate your support so much. Your comments are always the best.
Try The Bishop’s Wife 1948 with Loretta Young, Cary Grant, David Niven. Miracle On 34th St. 1947 and It’s A Wonderful Life 1946 with Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed.
@@DavidvsFilm If you haven’t seen it, check it out I believe it is still on TH-cam for free viewing, it is a charming film that gets little recognition today with Elsa Lanchester as Mathilda the maid and Monty Woolley as Professor Wuthridge. Another great film is The Women 1939 Bitchy, bored, husband stealing socialites have a go at the perfect wife and her man. Starring Norma Shearer, Joan Crawford, Rosalind Russell with Joan Fontaine and Paulette Goddard.
Omg. Those shirts are everything.
Please don’t stop doing fun rewatches like this. These videos can be just as fun as first time reactions. Love the shirts.

Have you seen Evil Dead 2013?
Hey Aran!! No, but I’ve heard good things about it. Think I should watch??
Try The Bishop’s Wife 1948 with Loretta Young, Cary Grant, David Niven. Miracle On 34th St. 1947 and It’s A Wonderful Life 1946 with Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed.
