I love his short stories. It’s like I can forget about 2024 and go back 100 years. ❤
Another lovely Somerset Maugham short story! Just amazing how he could turn out these incredible tales, each one so distinctive but with a thread of similarity that identifies them as his unique creation. Just love them!
His short story`s, have a quality that is not normally found in the, short story!
Great story. Really lovely piano music at the end. (No ads with premium utube)
It is
I wonder what it is
Thank you, AI, for Simon Stanhope’s voice
Hi. Just to point out that this is not the cloned voice of Stanhope, as he has made clear.
@@AriaSuperBass totally in his likeness though. :) The many wonders of AI and where it’s taking us. Enjoy the ride. 🚙
Hi @@leimaniax
Thanks for responding. Yes, it is disconcerting when a computer is difficult to distinguish from an actual human being!
Brilliance with ease.
Great writer
Thank you for sharing this with us. I’m so glad to have found your channel. Thank you again and God bless.🙂
brilliant story
Loved this
Jeez he wrote a lot of short stories.
Hey, he had an estate on the Riviera to pay for 😂
So happy about that.
Nearly all pretty good, a few brilliant…
They are so wonderful.
You think?
There’s nothing worse than a familiar chauffeur.
😂😂 I’ve had to let so many go for that very reason.
@@fiddlersthree8463 that's very good of you. I hope you enjoyed letting go (and letting God?)
Poor Carruthers. What bothered him more, that Lady Betty loved someone else or that the man she loved was common? Carruthers was a helpless prig.
who wrote this beautiful piano 🎹 piece at the end of the story?? Or what is it called? (I’d be sorry to hear that it’s AI generated too
Excellent! What is the piano music? It's beautiful
Carothers was a snob of the worst kind
He never learned how to live and be happy like Betty did
He was too busy judging people
He didn’t love her, he wanted to own her
He was a fool
Great story .Does anyone know the Piano outro ????

@@Shineon83best money I’ve ever spent. 🏆
His stories always stop so abruptly

SO MANY ADS! STOP PLEASE! Youre ruining the story.
Who is doing the narrating?
Simon Stanhope but I'm told that they have AI'ied is voice
Thank you!
Yes it does seem to be AI judging by the mispronunciation of place names and the wrong emphases. Oddly, the wooden delivery suits these stories though.
No person. AI robot. Can't you tell?
You'd have thought they'd have choosen an AI modified reader without a Churchill lishp. It's somewhat annoying. Like he's got a Werther's Original tucked in his cheek.
I enjoy these stories though his misogyny comes through in almost all of his stories.
