    I just got my Vulcan S as first bike. 42 yr old New rider here. I want exactly what you have going on. Hand guards, engine guards with lights mounted to them, and cruise control mods. Wonderful!

    I am starting my licence here in January and have pretty much decided to get the vulcan S as my first bike. Stoked to see all the POV videos. Seems like it handled the tail well. Your vulcan sounds so good as well, but I am pretty sure law in Germany will prevent me from getting one 😂
    Thank you so much for this video, enjoyed it!

    Nice bike. Perfect combination between a cruiser and a sports bike. (I currently have a Vulcan 900 and am thinking of going down to the S mostly due to the weight of it, being in my 70s now.)

      It's a great bike I rode a early 2000's Suzuki Intruder 1400GSLP! Was a great bike and it felt like it had as much get as the 1400! I'd highly recommend test riding one! Very agile, quick, and low center of gravity really makes this a great bike!

      @@MotoBaggins Thanks for the info. I see you've taken yours on some long trips and I was worried about doing highway miles on it, but I'm sure the 6th gear on that bike makes it robust enough to do both backroads and highways.

    Is that the slash cut Delkelvic exhaust? I have that one on my Vulcan S and it doesn't sound like yours. I mean it does a little bit but it also could be just the tone difference from having a helmet on vs it being recorded with a camera.

    Nice ride. Thanks for sharing Do you follow Kawasaki recommendation in OM on shifting speeds? New to riding and own a 2019. People tell me going from 5th to 6th at 34mph makes no sense. But why would Kawasaki recommend that?

    • @MotoBaggins
      @MotoBaggins  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      To be honest I only focused on the Rpms and shifting when I was initially breaking the bike in! Growing up I rode various dirt bikes and quads. That being said I shift off how the bike sounds/when I need more or less power. Now with Kawasaki recommending when to shift at certain times. I believe that's crucial with the initial break in to prevent any damage. It's going to sound cliché but ride more and you'll get a feel for it. Once you understand the bike.....shifting will come natural just like breathing. You won't even think about it!

    Yeah, I am seriously considering this bike next year, trading in my gs A for it, I've been having adventure bikes since 2016 and I want a change and I rode this one this Summer, and loved it. Need to see what its like on the highway though before I decide.
    I loved it in town though, very nimble, and riding position felt great

    • @MotoBaggins
      @MotoBaggins  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Highway I feel it'll be more than enough for what you want! Did a 2,400 mile round trip to Florida from PA. As well as a trip from PA to Tennessee in one day bike was great/very comfortable! It's a great cruiser on the highway low rpms... and plenty of power left in the 5th and 6th gear. In short definitely take it on the highway I think you'll be satisfied.

      This is the one I ordered! Make sure you order a 16inch length exhaust or less! Reason being the 21inch one gets in the way of the swing arm spools for a paddock stand. They also have a black ceramic painted one if you're looking for a more cohesive look.

    How shifting on this bike, smooth, little force?

    • @MotoBaggins
      @MotoBaggins  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I did not scrape pegs at all. This bike particularly is very hard to scrape pegs on (not impossible)! The Vulcan 650 S has a very good low center of gravity and maneuverability. Shifting is smoother than butter and requires very little effort.

      Yes, you can but you'll need to purchase passanger footpegs additionally....doesn't come from the factory with them on. You can get OEM ones from Kawasaki or the mounting brackets for the saddlebags from SHAD/Givi come with passanger footpegs. Once you get either of the above. A passanger can ride easily. However I would say since there is no good/thick aftermarket passanger pillion seats. A long ride would become uncomfortable for them. Also, adjusting the uni-shock preload is very easy to do.
