In league of legends Kai'sa is actually played by a South African voice actress. The same actress was rehired for the event thats going on in league right now. So alot of us are puzzled as to why they didnt hire her for LoR. No disrespect to this voice actress (from New Zealand), but the original is far softer and far more appropriate for LoR.
Void abomination actually levels Shen when it gains barrier in hand - not when he is summoned. Other void abominations you draw are "granted' their keywords upon drawing them, meaning that if you have 3 void abominations in hand you can instantly tick shen to 4/5 upon summoning him. Same thing goes for Kai'Sa, since her spell grants Kai'sas everywhere keywords.

Hey, if you use the Shadow Isles spell "Song of the Isle" on a Husk, when you summon Evelynn on the field, you get all the buffs and the Ephemeral effects disappear because that effect is consumed by the Husk I tried this with Evelynn and Viego and is almost unfair how powerful it is, because those effects stay on the unit forever
It says that on the husk: "Kill me to grant it my stats and positive keywords". You get the stats and not Ephemeral, since Ephemeral is not a positive keyword, like Vulnerable

Been running Viktor/Kai'Sa non stop since the patch and been really liking it, it's my first deck I created after the starting ones! I really like Void Abomination but it does kind of feel like a win more card and Viktor feels a bit stronger in the deck than Kai'Sa. Looking forward to seeing your iteration of the Kai/Vik deck

Really cool!!! Supercharged is super-pushed though Not only does it give 2 of the best keywords in the game, it gives them at focus speed like I don't even have time to react to a chump blockable threat becoming a very hard to deal with lethal attack out of nowhere Like damn
As a fellow evelynn enjoyer, lemme say that lucian eve with dawnspeakers has been feeling really good thus far. My only problem is that vanguard redeemer and radiant guardian don't proc when you kill a husk, and it feels like they should. Another idea I heard is using the husks to win with bandle tree. And hey, all im gonna say is eve technically transforms a lot
They do work you just have to go out of your way to kill them with a different effect. Not their own effect. At the very least Eve will get buffed if she is on the board when you do this. No other unit will get bufffed though

Really cool deck ! So yeah i was trying to build some Gwen deck with noxus and then i remember why Kalista effect was "the first time you attack". Eternal Dancer have not. If you revive a unit that rally, you infinite rally. Meaning if Ruined reckoner (or Incisive tactician) die ... Yeaaah so then with Lamb's Respite (you know this 2 mana card that make your weakest ally invicible) that's GG whatever the enemy board.
I've also been playing Shen (+J4) and the great upside to Kinkou Student is that if you have in onthe field and play Shen, +2 barriers, then attack with Shen supporting Kinkou Student, +3 barriers, play a barrier again on Shen or other ally, and Shen levels.
I played this deck since patch release, so I'm glad you have a blast witth it! You should also consider Greenglade Cartaker. With that amount of Free Barrier (Kindou Student, Kai'sa keyword ''copy', Void Abomination) + Supercharge I did a LOT of OTK around turn 5. I droped the Voidling really early because of that. Enabling Evolve a little bit easier is nice, but it isn't as impactful than a +15 attack Unit for 1 mana.
That game 2 O_O, you could see how good both the players were on trading. I think mogwai did a good job addressing the Kaisa evelyn decks through barrier. I didnt think of it.
I've been playing a few Kai'sa varients, and so far my favorite is Kai'sa+Sivir Demacia. I tried running Akshan instead of Sivir, but he felt low impact. I can level Kai'sa on 5-6 fairly consistently and dropping a Void Abomination with Scout+Overwhelm+Barrier+Spellshield+the kitchen sink is usually enough to finish the game
Wow the synergy between kinkou student and Shen is so satisfying to see. Hope the deck will do fine in ladder, Shen/Kai'sa is a neat surprise combination.
people go too crazy about the dancers infinite combo for no reason. its op if you can get all the combo pieces and the enemy dosent have an answer? yea but you gotta keep in mind that its a one turn otk combo and if you can just freeze or stun or hush or just vengeance the dancers before lamb respite the combo is usless. next turn you open attack and gg.

The barriers are granted to the Void Abomination in hand, which counts for Shen’s level up (weird interaction for Barrier with everywhere buff). At that point, there were 2 Abominations in hand so they gave Shen 2/5 for his level up. Same goes for Kai’Sa. If you grant Kai’Sa everywhere Barrier with Second Skin, once you draw another Kai’Sa it would also count for Shen’s level up.
I'm running Shen Gwen and enjoying it. Either a big Shen they don't want to lose a big unit to or a Big something else they're forced to block. Gwen gets the buff anyway and often doesn't need anything else because quick attack. Third card for Shen to support goes ape.
I love evelyn with lucian basically lucian ditched senna and now letting eve step on him :D seriously evelyn is great with lucian. Lucian levels up very fast, eve is still a good engine without lucian and demacia got very good units that love it when units die note:"death" effects don't work if you rely on husk dying upon playing (they need to die BEFORE you play the card) but also cards like bannerman doesn't buff husks since effect triggers AFTER bannerman... so... inconsistent lol

Evelynn/Kindred Deck I'm working on. Started as my attempt at an Aristocrat deck, but it changed heavily from the original since there just wasn't board space for neverglade and husks. Some of the fun outstanding cards are Hatespike, Camavoran Dragon, and Etherfiend. Deck Code: CECAGAIFBMVTCAYGAUJRIJIEAQCQIBIQDQAQMDAZAMAQCBJCAEDAKEQBAQCQOAIBAMCQQ Note: Etherfiend can't target husks for his ability, though I think this may be a bug since all other followers that can target a husk stop the husk ability from triggering even though the animation still happens.
@@kroth3049 It isn't a bug. It's because they don't have the same speed priority. For exemple Spirit Leech, happen right after he is summon, so if you kill a Husk you draw but you don't get their buff. Etherfiend proc a Skill that go into the stack but the Husk trigger his effect before the Skill can resolve. Then it fizzle because this Skill need is 'sacrifice' to be alive.
EVE , LUCIAN , Durand Sculptor , Radiant guardian , 1 or 2 Gallant riders ( and Senna off course ) .... Giving lucian that extra life with the husk really helps him survive .... Your welcome :)
This is a cool expansion and all but... dude... Sculptor with Evellyn is so far away from balanced. Its omega fun tho and she actually makes Dawnspeakers decent so i dont really care. There is also the neat interaction with laurent duelist and the husks
Just a deck idea: I have tried out Anivia Gwen with the new 6 Mana follower that revives an ally. It works but I’m not good at deckbuilding and haven’t played for half a year.
I am running this except only one void abomination. I win most of my matches without having to drop it by getting kaisa fat and also using 2 copies of greendale caretaker. I generally finish with a overwelm OTK off these two units
Just played a game where someone rolled formidable with their voidling. i didn't notice anything because it has the same 1 attack as defence but then they got the formidable on their void abomination and copied onto their Kai'sa and it both units only attacked for one. My opponent legit actually lost the game because of it. It is such a strange interaction.
Not a big fan of Kia'sa or Evelynn so far. I don't like champions that get a load of keywords. Its seems like these champions give and get keywords too easily sometimes then you insta lose because there isn't a counter to elusive, spellshield, tuff, quick attack, and lifesteal unit. It feels super unfair to play against.
@@mode3645 eves design is bonkers to me. She has a 2 drop at 1 attack 3 defense so great blocker. Drops the husk with random keywords. Then she can play a allure which gives +1 attack and drops a random husk. Then Evelynn is a 4 drop can immediately level up into a 6 health 6 damage random keywords at turn 4 or 5 and which is super oppressive. Kaisa levels up way to damn fast and has the same issues as getting Evelynn. Getting keywords and a bunch of them way to fast. Everyone hates pantheon for this reason so why the hell did we make two more pantheon but not only that 2 more pantheons that are better than pantheon because they the keywords faster.

The deck feels like it's gonna be fun but feel like it needs a few copies of the card draw landmark or some more card draw to replace river shaper. Mostly because I really like card draw.

still hoping for a yasuo winswept rally spam, already saw her with katarina wich is pretty obvious as the first option and the sinergy with both the rally on top of the landmark and the recall for the bladetwirlers is strong, but i haven't seen one with a 3 yasuo 2 kat 1 riven lineup to have a posible acces to overwhelm as well

32:10 did Shen get 2 extra tics from the Void abominations getting Barrier in his hand? Is that supposed to work that way? Is it cause it's an Aura effect? Or am I just missing something cause when he drops Shen on 4, Shen should've been 2/5 from himself and the Student getting barrier, but yet it came down at 4/5 and the only other things that got Barrier were the VAs. Unless that student card got barrier 2 times, then that's definitely a bug.
No, it shouldn’t work. Shen has to see the barriers which means if Riot was following it’s own rules the barriers would need to be in play in order to level up Shen.

@@kroth3049 It isn't a bug. It's because they don't have the same speed priority. For exemple Spirit Leech, happen right after he is summon, so if you kill a Husk you draw but you don't get their buff.
Etherfiend proc a Skill that go into the stack but the Husk trigger his effect before the Skill can resolve. Then it fizzle because this Skill need is 'sacrifice' to be alive.

I tried to build an Evelynn/Viego deck. Solitude gives every mist spawn a random keyword so its a bit rng heavy but quite fun.
Back in the day, we had Dawnspeaker Spiders, how about Dawnspesker Husks, ofc with Lucian.
This is a cool expansion and all but... dude... Sculptor with Evellyn is so far away from balanced. Its omega fun tho and she actually makes Dawnspeakers decent so i dont really care. There is also the neat interaction with laurent duelist and the husks

Just a deck idea: I have tried out Anivia Gwen with the new 6 Mana follower that revives an ally. It works but I’m not good at deckbuilding and haven’t played for half a year.

I am running this except only one void abomination. I win most of my matches without having to drop it by getting kaisa fat and also using 2 copies of greendale caretaker. I generally finish with a overwelm OTK off these two units
Just played a game where someone rolled formidable with their voidling. i didn't notice anything because it has the same 1 attack as defence but then they got the formidable on their void abomination and copied onto their Kai'sa and it both units only attacked for one. My opponent legit actually lost the game because of it. It is such a strange interaction.
Not a big fan of Kia'sa or Evelynn so far. I don't like champions that get a load of keywords. Its seems like these champions give and get keywords too easily sometimes then you insta lose because there isn't a counter to elusive, spellshield, tuff, quick attack, and lifesteal unit. It feels super unfair to play against.
Yeah, I agree already played against Kaisa and Eve 4x times and it felt kinda unfair to play against
@@mode3645 eves design is bonkers to me. She has a 2 drop at 1 attack 3 defense so great blocker. Drops the husk with random keywords. Then she can play a allure which gives +1 attack and drops a random husk. Then Evelynn is a 4 drop can immediately level up into a 6 health 6 damage random keywords at turn 4 or 5 and which is super oppressive. Kaisa levels up way to damn fast and has the same issues as getting Evelynn. Getting keywords and a bunch of them way to fast. Everyone hates pantheon for this reason so why the hell did we make two more pantheon but not only that 2 more pantheons that are better than pantheon because they the keywords faster.
@@ItsGJ1 Its just toxic. You need to be just lucky for e.g. get lifesteal and elusive = GG . I played multiple times against this deck with Shen/jarv and I get completty rolled because they have so many keywords
The deck feels like it's gonna be fun but feel like it needs a few copies of the card draw landmark or some more card draw to replace river shaper.

It took me a while at 32:20 how shen insta levels up, but if you have the 8 mana Kaisa card at hand, they count for Shen, that is nuts

have you tried Dawn and Dusk for kaisa when she levels up? it obliterates enemy board and basically is a winning condition yikes.
still hoping for a yasuo winswept rally spam, already saw her with katarina wich is pretty obvious as the first option and the sinergy with both the rally on top of the landmark and the recall for the bladetwirlers is strong, but i haven't seen one with a 3 yasuo 2 kat 1 riven lineup to have a posible acces to overwhelm as well

32:10 did Shen get 2 extra tics from the Void abominations getting Barrier in his hand? Is that supposed to work that way? Is it cause it's an Aura effect? Or am I just missing something cause when he drops Shen on 4, Shen should've been 2/5 from himself and the Student getting barrier, but yet it came down at 4/5 and the only other things that got Barrier were the VAs. Unless that student card got barrier 2 times, then that's definitely a bug.
No, it shouldn’t work. Shen has to see the barriers which means if Riot was following it’s own rules the barriers would need to be in play in order to level up Shen.
