I've been watching this for awhile, and I also got the impression that the world was too large! An overly large world was one of the reasons I got so fatigued with My Time at Portia. Sometimes it felt like I would waste a good part of the day just getting from one place to the next.
Appreciate the honest review! Sometimes we just don't click with a game, even if there's nothing wrong with it and it seems like it would be right up our alley.
It’s a crazy big word. The map shows you were people are but by the time I’d get to that location they’d be somewhere else haha. Yeah just didn’t click for me unfortunately, but it seems like a lot of people love it
This review is how I felt about Fae Farm, especially the npcs. Playing games like these with hollow villagers makes me appreciate Stardew Valley even more. Linus will forever be #1 in my heart.
I just finished fae farm recently and had the same feeling about that one too
Yes, completely agree with you guys on that one too
Same here. It makes me wanna play Stardew Valley again. I’m so hopeful for Haunted chocolatier!
imo the game in itself is beautiful, the world too but the npcs could honestly have a bit more character, i feel like they aren't so fleshed out, especially the datable npcs. the worst for me is the ranking system and things being locked behind it just irks me a lot. earning money kinda feels meh cause everything feels so expensive when you start out and earn barely anything. overall a nice game that could use some improvements in certain aspects.
Sooooo glad to see you reviewing this! I’ve seen it pop up on Steam and I’ve been farm-curious.
Thanks for checking out my video 😄
This one looks interesting. I lived in Florida during the Deepwater Horizon disaster, so the opportunity to foil an oil company definitely resonates. Thanks for the review.
Im glad i found this review. So many games today look great but have no soul or substance behind them.
Thanks! Glad you found the video helpful!
great review my friend, i backed this on Kickstarter awhile ago, and have been waiting for 1.0 release, but im still not 100% sold- maybe when they add multiplayer to it ill play it? another great video my friend!
Thank you! I follow them on discord and it’s a shame because it seems like they really put effort it and listened to feedback but the game does feel a bit lifeless (at least for me).
It’s on Xbox game pass if you have that
@@LamoReviews So I was an Alpha tester, and when I played it, I was like ooo not touching this till its polished.... that was in July of 2022 I believe? lol so it's just gathering digital dust on my Steam Library. See if it were multiplayer though, it's nice to know it's on Game Pass so i don't have to buy it again
Thank you for the review! Shallow npcs is really a bummer. I have the same feeling as you, when I first saw the trailer, I thought it’s gonna be awesome, but the footage I watched recently not really grabs me. Probably the last one that satisfied my craving for a rich story and interesting npcs was Wylde Flowers, even though it was not a heavy farming sim.
it’s hard to sometimes pin point exactly what makes a game fee in depth and fleshed out. Wylde flowers was great. Felt like a genuine community, you felt like part of it, lots of detail and great story. Coral island I didn’t feel like I was part of the community at all. The villagers seemed upset about the pollution but never did anything to help. To me it just felt like a shallow game even though it seems the devs put a lot of effort in and listened to feedback. Not a bad game but still missing a bit
I've already put like 40 hrs into this game in the past week, been totally hooked 😅
Glad to hear it 😄 nothing better than being obsessed with a good game!
Of course you must buy this game
The best farming game
