The chess board pieces most likely represent the Fatui/Harbingers, the pawn that was knocked down was Signora and the knight piece that killed her was Ei, they don’t have her gnosis to replace the piece because obviously Scaramouche took it

Not sure it's the palace itself (maybe a mausoleum for Signora), but the architecture is 100% on point.

Looks like a cathedral, not Palace or church. Just search for images of cathedrals in Saint Petersburg, Russia. People say that it looks like St. Isaac's Cathedral.
Am pretty sure thats not Zapolarny Palace, but signora's personal mausoleum, and the fact Tsaritsa encased it with ice, it would not make sense if she freezes the entire place, the Palace itself would most likely look like the Kremlin.

I'm just in awe of the fact that we're getting to see something revealed that wasn't leaked ahead of time. There had been some mention and talk of the harbingers in various leaks, but nothing to this extent. It's really nice to feel genuinely excited about something in the game being officially revealed, unlike the Sumeru characters which unfortunately have basically been leaked everywhere for the next 3-4 patches over the last few weeks.
I'm not saying I'm NOT excited for the 3.0 characters and beyond, but it would've been a lot better to have them officially revealed and be excited that way instead of randomly scrolling through Twitter and just seeing pictures of their models posted literally everywhere.

If only leakers could refrain themselves to spoil this kind of things... I mean spoil us the characters, the designs and animation etc. But never spoil the story and surprises like that. That was crazy

I get a strong feeling that the chess board gives a lot of hints to the future lore of the game. Perhaps the knight taking out Signora is Ei, and this also shows that scaramoche still has the gnosis. And you can see Zhongli the rook and venti the queen on the chessboard as well. Really interesting. And perhaps what they mean by checkmate is not where the game ends is that beating the divine isn’t the end goal, and that the fatui’s ultimate goal is something else, and the rebellion against the divine is just the move they need to reach their true and final goal. Really interesting video that has a lot of implications for people are are interested in the lore of this game, tbh I just made this all up on the spot while writing so it could be all wrong.

I think that chessboard scene takes place a bit after Signora's death. My theory is that she sent one last fire moth as she died to warn Pierro, and that moth only disappears once Signora's body is bought back to Snezhnaya

I’ve never been this excited before
People keep forgetting how designs and themes are very purposefully chosen. Signora's motif is moths which is a symbol of death *AND* resurrection. I feel like she will come back resurrected, but no longer as Signora the 8th Fatui Harbinger, but as Rosalyne-Kruzchka Lohefalter the Crimson Witch of Flames, or some allusion to her mortal self.
I hope that we get Rosalyne's lore in Sumeru Academia, as most casual players don't even know about her past with Rostam and why she hates Barbatos so much. Just like how Kanna Kapatcir's and Ruu's lore had been long hinted at with the Thundering Fury set. Only to materialize 8 versions after the artifact's initial release.

RESURRECTION MY ESS
It's a theme of Rebirth, not resurrection.
A theme that is already fulfilled within her lore.
Her rebirth was when she gave up her old identity of Rosalyne and transformed herself into the Crimson witch of flames.
Following her rampage against the abyss, she was left nearing death.
She was then found and recruited by the fatui. Given a delusional that sealed her crimson witch form, saved her from death and made her forget her old identity.
This is when Rosalyne "died" and was reborn as Signora
This trailer made me understand how you feel about spoilers.
I usually try to stay away from spoilers but sadly it does not work (mostly because of the youtube algorithem and thumbnails), this was the first time I was genuinely suprised about a trailer. Not just because of the sudden appierance but because I had no idea what was about to happen (unlike most of the lifestreams).
Any tips for avoiding spoilers?
I don't use Twitter or social media in general but used to watch Leak videos.
TH-cam still recommends new leaks to me.
TH-cam algorithm is insanely unhelpful I'm sorry, for leaks just click the 3 dots on the video and "do not recommend channel" is what I do

@@ceciliaofthesky5702 yeah do it a bunch of times as soon as you see them...unfortunately after searching it could still be in the dropdown set of videos and you can't remove it...but for me i just turn a blind eye immediately. For the videos that show the leak itself in the thumbnail....i just report them under spam/misleading content. I usually leave the other leak videos alone. I am getting a lot lesser leaks since the past couple of days cause of that so maybe it could help you soon. I also make sure to remove all the leaker content in my homepage as soon as i see them.
There are browser extensions that can automatically hide vids from you if there are specific words in the title. While you probably won't be able to escape every leak ever, at least the vids that have "leaks" in title will be hidden away.
POTENTIAL SPOILERS
The girl with black hair who seems to be singing is Damslette. No. 3 of the Harbringers. (Worth noting Tartaglia refuses to fight her because he says "something feels off about her")
The blonde man with the Khaenri'ah mask is Pierro, No. 1 of the Harbringers and the man who recruited Signora and Dottore.
The girl with the "x" eyes is Arlecchino. She runs an orphanage which she uses to raise children as spies for the Fatui, which are then sent to various nations. We actually meet several of these orphans throughout the game.
The girl who is being carried by a ruin machine is Sandrone. She is known as "The Puppet".
The guys with black hair and glasses is Pantalone. The No. 9 Harbringer. He is the wealthiest Fatui member and probably runs Northland Bank. Fun fact, the coat Yelan wears is one made of expensive fur that she stole from him that was intended as a gift to the Tsarista. He is also mentioned in Yelan's story quest.
The blue haired guy is Dottore. A despicable scientist from Sumeru who obsesses over the creation of "enhanced humans". He is heavily featured in the Genshin Impact official manga as an antagonist, so suggest reading that.
The guy in the full helmet is Capitano. Not much is known about him, but Childe comments that he is very skilled in battle, and intends to challenge him one day.
The elf guy with the huge hat is Pulcinella. Harbringer No.5. He is the one who recruited Tartaglia when he was young (after Tartaglia had come out of the Abyss).
Yelan is such a badass for doing that

I absolutely love this teaser. Nothing we’ve ever seen before with the massive collection of character designs/ personality’s. I cannot wait to see future lore involving the harbingers!!! And I hope Columbina and arlecchino are playable 😭
5:05 The charcter setting the tree on fire is the same guy from the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail video under the Sumeru section so it looks like he will be playing a big role in the adventure
We also know that Ayaka and Diluc were in that trailer and they ended up doing a lot for the story
And the Butterfly flying around looks like one of signora's butterflys during the fight in Inazuma and ended up finding its way back to signora
Most random things popped in my head watching this: evil Baizhu, Kaeya's father, the Irminsul tree burning is connected to that scene where Abyss twin came too late to Khaenri'ah.

So ummm Pierro might be Kaeya’s father?
- Pierro has the Khaenri’ahn eyes confirmed
- Pierro looks awfully like the deathly statuette figure
- he has one earring like Kaeya does (probably the same set of earring)
- if you look closely Pierro has a tuft of blue hair whilst the rest of it is white, which is the inverse of Kaeya who has a tuft of white hair with the rest being blue.
So if Pierro is Kaeya’s father that would mean he’s also partially responsible for killing Crepus which causes a lot of tension- Biological father kills the adoptive father 💀
But Pierro is +500 years old and Kaeya is 22 years old (even if his ancestor are from Khaenri'ah he was born in Mondstadt)
But maybe she if Dainsleif dad/brother cause they have the same hairs
@@captive8670 he wasn’t born in Mondstadt. He was brought to Mondstandt by his father to spy on the city as a last hope. We know time passes differently in the Abyss and possibly in Khaenri’ah, so maybe they escaped the cataclysm and arrived at today’s Mondstadt when Kaeya was a child.
@@captive8670 Kaeya was not born in Mond he was planted at the Dawn winery when he was young but he was born in Khaenri’ah.
Also time seems to pass differently there and there have been other characters who have been frozen in time e.g Olaf from Springvale. And time changing and shifting and immortal beings aren’t a new concept in Genshin.
And it’s entirely possible Pierro had a child around 20 years ago.

The Fatui Harbingers are SO COOL! I hope every one of them is playable (I don’t know the cool mask guy and cool big guy can be playable with their body types , but I would like them to be)

Those other four characters haven't been officially revealed yet. So unless you're looking at leaks (which he isn't) he wouldn't want to see them.
I don’t think he missed anything. Only Collei, Tighnari and Dori were officially announced. He doesn’t look at leaks so the others shouldn’t be mentioned here

Someone suggested that collei could be a free unit either permanently or within the 3.0 patch. This is because every single element has had a near enough free (permanent) 4* character for each player to have.

I know I'm 5 months late but, there actually is a really nice hint to signora returning. Basically at the end you can hear the choir say "Nova Rosa", wich means new rose, signora representing the rose hinting at the fact she might come back one way or the other

Pierro, the 1st harbinger, is theorized to be from Khaenri'ah. That's why he reminded me so much of Dainsleif when I first saw him.

the build up is insane bran, from Pierro's speech, to Damslette's singing, to the harbingers arguing with each other, ended with Pierro's speech and all of them bowing/praying to signora. Accompanied with music that changes the mood from sorrow to conflict to somewhat motivating

Really don't know why but his hair colour, his outfit design kinda gives me the vibe of Traveler's design, like if you see around his waist you can see a star design just like on Aether's waist as well.
