    This is my favorite sewing channel. I love your style, and I love listening to you chat about sewing. You could talk about anything sewing or clothing related and I would listen.

    Thrilled to see you back. Love the tips & inspiration. Buying endless quantities of fabric is something I have to keep a lid on. But I do enjoy buying things from thrift stores & remaking them. Maybe you could consider the odd project like that for those of us who enjoy keeping the textiles recycling. There is lots of scope for creativity & keeping in mind a capsule wardrobe is a plus.

    Hi Gini, so glad to see your lovely face again! I truly understand how much WORK all of this is and I am grateful for all that you give us. I don’t think you have to do a sewing project each time. I would enjoy your take on fashion trends, lagenlook, new sewing patterns that have caught your eye, new sewing books and magazines you have got, etc. Thank you for your inspiration! P.S. I’m so sorry about your dog, I’ve been through that and it is horrible. ♥️

    Delighted to see you back. I do agree about the need to be mindful of the creation of waste. I do enjoy creating and giving some of my not-so-perfect-for-me pieces to friends…

    Great to see you again. I know exactly where you've been ... you've been in my head! I too am conflicted about what to do with my makes, especially those wearable toiles which I will never wear? Am I causing more problems in the over stressed textile world or making it better with my sewing? Good to know I'm not alone in my quandary. Cathy from Canada

    Hurray! So good to see you! Took a break = good on you = don't want to be wasteful = want to sew clothes you can love to wear! So sorry to hear of your loss.

    I was so happy to see you pop up on my feed! 👏 You were greatly missed from my computer. Welcome back again!
    I know what you mean about the whole creating content thing with respect to what people want to see vs. what you want to wear and also the sheer volume of clothing you end up creating and can't always wear. I'm also struggling with that.
    I always appreciate all the time you spend researching sources, because you always come up with stuff I've never heard about. That magazine is stunning. Thanks also for the podcast rec - I'm an audiobook listener but I'm trying some podcasts just to see if I like them. I tend not to like them because when it's a round table thing, always the hosts tend to laugh with each other and I feel like I'm not in on the joke. It's distracting. I'm so impatient, just get to the point already! On the other hand, if they weren't that way I'd probably say it was like being in school and I'd complain about that just as loudly. Ugh, I am never satisfied. The struggle is real. 😉

    So happy to see you’re back making videos. What a dilemma you’ve been wrestling with! And then losing your dog😢. I look forward to any videos you post. You’re motivating, inspiring and leave me feeling like I’ve had a visit with a good friend. 😄 Be well and Happy Thanksgiving.

    Thank you to you too Gini. I think I understand exactly, what do you mean. I also like to sew things but I don't wear them.
    Very sorry about your dog. I am scared to think about what is going on if I will lose my cat

    Question, why do you make your pants so short? I just watched another video of yours where you were showing red plaid pants and they were all super short as well.

    • @thebigsewalong
      @thebigsewalong  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      😂 that’s a good question. I really just like them that way. Maybe because I have a complex about being short? 😂

    Would you be open to showing some of the garments you decided were not things you would wear? Perhaps if you figure out a way to alter the style in a way that you would wear. Many of us may be in the same situation and could use ideas.
