I've been playing drums on and off since I was 14 years old. My first two influences were Rush and Primus. I've been in a band for over 15 years until recently. I've not picked up a pair of sticks since valentines day 2016 (when I found out I got booted) . . . Let me just say, that listening to Primus drum licks is the best motivation for a depressed drummer without a band.
Fadi Ayat I know the comment is old, but I'm curious. How have things gone since your comment? I know what it's like to get the boot. Especially if it has nothing to do with whether you're good enough or not I hope you grew and got past it, maybe even used it as motivation to get another project going
I seen Tool and Primus on the 1994 Lalapalooza tour. Tool was supporting the drop of Undertow and Primus was playing from Pork Soda. Les actually hinted at the new album coming. Which turned out to be Tales from the Punchbowl. It was an epic day to say the least.
Last time I caught a Tool show it was precisely this. Primus and Tool. It was fucking awesome. I was just so incredibly fucked up too. Real fun time. Primus and Tool. It really doesn't get any better.
I saw them last night in Denver and they closed with this song. So F’n great man. Thinking of going to the Vegas show next June. Some bands after I see them live a few times I’m good but I can’t get enough of Primus.
Curious as to when they really started stretching out their songs I.e. this and American Life. Now I feel like they love to take the music for a stroll.
Agreed my friend, I always see people that love Primus. But I don't know many other than myself who think of them as the best band. Ever. I'm a death metal guy, and my favorite band remains Primus. Primus Sucks!
The album version ends at about 6 and a half minutes from this version, after that is what you can only get from a live Primus performance. I got lucky to see them close with Southbound Pachyderm, that was about 15 minutes (7 minutes of jamming)
@NotATubeSurfer Hahahaha Thanks for noticing! My hope is that I can have Primus thumbnails in all the dirty parts of TH-cam. The way I see it the more attention Primus gets the better for everyone :D

They debuted jammed out renditions at the start of the Tour de Fromage era in 2003. The last time they had that level of jamming was the 3D tour.
