      @@lilpissed1791 I have watched more than one video where somebody with watching like Zeppelin or Floyd for the first time and sitting there in disbelief that they didn't realize there was a completely different level of music from anything they had ever heard before.
      The one guy was legitimately depressed in bummed out like he had been ripped off and cheated that it took until he was 30 years old( if I remember I might be a little off) to hear Pink Floyd for the first time. • @KS-dd4oy
      @KS-dd4oy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Stopsign32v to be honest "the day the music died" is not really relevant for today's music if it wasn't for the don McLean song. I'm not trying to disrespect buddy Holly or the others that died that day but when was the last time you heard someone casually listening to a buddy Holly song?
      I personally know a lot of people that listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd on a regular basis and I'm 23 so it's not far fetched to say that the day Lynyrd Skynyrd "died" is much more relevant today than "the day the music died" was.

      Yup , "If it ain't worth remembering, it ain't worth singing." was his take on that. It's probably the reason his lyrics are so good, true perfectionist and expected the same perfection from his band mates if he had to use violence to get it.

    My haydays were 85-95. Dude. I'm soooo glad to see folks getting exposed to this. You have to remember that in 87, i was 13 and didnt have a pc, a phone, fb, etc. ALL i had was my radio and cassettes. I wld listen to them until they broke and then tape them back together. If i cldnt afford the album id stuff the ends of old cassessts and record over them from the radio. Music was all i had. It was my friend. Still is. Yes, what is created today is still music and art. But the 70s and 80s rock, heavy metal, southern rock, etc. had something special. No doubt. Do your self a favor. Dig into all of it. Itll be worth it bro.

    If you've heard anything from Skynard it's probably Sweet Home Alabama. And as I've commented once before, it's ok to pause occasionally and give us your thoughts. We've all heard this song; we're interested in what you think of it! And please don't talk too much over the music. A short comment like "I am stunned" is ok but I'd rather you pause and give us your thoughts. Don't want you to miss anything good! But you're doing great so far!

    The world divides us along racial lines, political lines, religious lines. Music is music no matter the color of your skin. You either have it in you or you dont! Ronnie and the rest of the band gave their heart and soul - you could feel the music, a connection. I’m 55 and I’m so glad to see a younger generation appreciate great musicians, just I appreciate the likes of Marvin Gaye and those Boys from Tuskegee, The Commodores. Long live Skynyrd. It’s the music people….

    This song and Kansas's Wayward Son are anthems of working class folks from a certain era. Lynyrd Skynyrd is one of the greatest Southern rock bands, period. I wish they didn't fly Southern colors, I have trouble reconciling that from growing up in the South. But they stand as tall as CCR or the Allman Brothers, and their music doesn't disappoint.

    • @prankcollar1860

      You don't get them without Old Glory, I'm sorry you had to live under the yoke down south, I'm sure the oppression you experienced was unbearable and as a Southern Gentleman I must apologize for all of us here for your ill treatment and suggesting you learn to accept the band and the flag they flew around the world because they wanted to express where they were coming from.
