- a fan with very unusual decoration all around the fan, with stencil on the blades and downrod, decorative canopies and motor, believed to be very rare.. it has double ball bearing unlike many khaitans of that period, particularly the magnate, which had bush bearings at the bottom .

Tycoon was the only model of khaitan which was any good. if khaitan had continued to produce and sell tycoon even today, then i don't think it would have gone bankrupt.
One of my uncle have this fan but its 48" which is very very rare..Glad to find that fan..
Interesting! Ive encountered a total of 2, this is one, and another one a long time back was only a blade, and i initially identified it to be USHA not knowing it was khaitan tycoon until this year

Plain tycoon was single color only and tycoon rainbow was dual tone like this ,similar to what i have in 48"
well yes. plain tycoon is white colour. tycoon rainbow also came in golden-black colour which is rare.

What's that buzzing sound it makes
And why does the canopies and downrod "shudder" when turned on and off
Actually the hook looks like became very loose thats why the fan is shaking
The downrod also seems a little not centered
The hook is not that strong, its made from twisting clothes hangers and tying it in such a way it can handle fans, the main drawback with the hook is that it cant handle great thrust pressure properly
As of the downrod, it is slightly bent, i tried to straighten it as much as possible
