- featuring 4 relite fans with different specs:
first fan:
vortice brand, March 1979
manufactured by simplex circulume in UK
16 poles, (8x8), fan works perfectly with slight bearing noise
blades originally steel, aluminum blades used instead, where it reached almost its max speed
2nd fan:
Simplex brand, March 1979
manufactured by simplex circulume in UK
16 poles, (8x8) fan motor seems weak, producing hums, and it cant operate well with its 1.6 uf capacitor, i used 1.8 uf cap in its place and it operated well, with slower than usual performance at lower speeds
blades originally steel, aluminum blades used instead, where it was able to go fast but not reaching its peak speed
3rd fan:
Relite brand, 1983
manufactured by Relite Fans Ltd in UK
20 poles (10x10), fan runs perfectly, one bearing was earlier lubricated with vaseline, that bearing sometimes jams after long time of not operating
bladew originally aluminum, reaching its peak speed
4th fan:
Relite brand, Trader model, 1986
manufactured by Relite Fans Ltd in UK
16 poles (8x8) and thinner stator than all above, fan runs perfectly with the assigned 36" fabricated blades
top of motor is white, unlike others where it is blue.

Son veloces los Relite
Nice! I also wondered about these Relites: Is the motor top and bottom body made of plastic?
Its made of some sort of fiber-ish thing, it feels like plastic in some ways
@@pankaat Ok thanks for the info. So if I understand correctly, there is no metal body under the fiber-ish material? If so it must be something quite strong, fiberglass perhaps, or plastic mixed with some form of metal?
No metal beneath it, except the rotor.. i believe there is no fiberglass or metal in the motor casing
@@pankaat ok thanks.
