Toto is a group whose extensive discography deserves to be known. It has popular and catchy songs like this one, but Toto is so much more than that. One of the best bands of all time.
These guys were like the second generation of the wrecking crew. The best studio musicians of their time. Nothing but excellence!

I alwayed loved this song. It's one of my favourite ones from Toto. The funky groove, Bobby's vocals and the spooky, disco/boogie-like bridge. It may lack Lukather's solo but it doesn't have to be in every song. This song catches you off guard and is so positive.

Now, it's all digitalized, computerized, homogenized, and trite. Thank you for having an interest and also for demonstrating what appears to be genuine appreciation for the music that we love. Now, change pace and listen to Dan Fogelberg's "Netherlands." Only the title song, "Netherlands." Talk about an emotional story...........thanks again.

"Don't you ever doubt Toto!" Truest words ever spoken. You guys have decades of great songs to discover. And God, Jeff Porcaro was absolutely the greatest drummer ever. Period. I hope you give the Joseph Williams years their due. It's my favorite stuff.
Bobby Kimball's vocal range is one of the most striking characteristics of the band, no autotune arrangements like trap singers do today, one of the incredible privileged voices of ToTo, these modern music analyzers don't believe it today, young people, pre and post 80´s music.
You guys look like boys from the late 70s, as I was, with those happy smiles. Thanks!

Toto - the backing band who had a part in Michelle Jackson's success with 'Thriller'; that and having Quincy Jones as the producer. RIP Rod Temperton, the writer of the song Thriller (Wikipedia MJ page quote - "When Rod Temperton wrote the song 'Thriller", he wanted to call it "Starlight" or "Midnight Man', but settled on 'Thriller" because he felt the name had merchandising potential.' Steve Porcaro of Toto also wrote "Human Nature" from 'Thriller'. Temperton also wrote the songs "Rock With You", Off The Wall" and "Burn This Disco Out" for MJ's 'Off The Wall' album.

Nooooowwww the next TOTO song you need to hear is 'I Won't Hold You Back' off of TOTO 4. It's not a banger. A true love song. But the chorus gives me goose bumps every time. Don't get me wrong it has a guitar solo. It is just right for this song. The guys were so clever to place this song on the album in between 'Rosanna' and 'Africa' on side 2. Always saving the best for last. Keep up the good work!

Yes, don’t EVER doubt Toto! My favorite band period! Did you guys know that they have a cover album as well? Through The Looking Glass. Just phenomenal! Listen to Living for the City (Stevie Wonder cover). Bobby goes crazy on that, wow! I love the Cream cover too Sunshine of Your Love. Steve Lukather sings and plays outstanding on that song! Plus he does a great job on Watching the Detectives too. Check these out for sure!

Aw... Ryan sorry you don't like the zoo. Being a kid who went on field trips and the one taking kids - I get what you are saying about the heat and snacks... 😂. I never heard this song, but yet again Toto hits! So many transitions, and different from their other songs. Bobby is the best. Wait til you hear "I'll Be Over You" - night and day. I never heard it yet it sounds familiar and so 70s. So good!

As you said it is incredible that this song wasn't a big hit in rankings, but it was the 80's and the competition was hard.

Toto's 1st album is arguably their best. With their 4th album, Toto IV being 2nd.
You should check out their albums 'Kingdom of Desire' and 'Falling in Between', and Steve Lukather's 'Candyman' and 'Bridges' records (both are secret Toto albums featuring band members) Those are more heavy rock oriented.
Knew Ryan would dig them for sure for the vocals. Love all3 of you smiling and jammin 🔥
