Singer Paul Rodgers went on to form the very successful Bad Company. Their hit songs include, “Can’t Get Enough”, “Feel Like Making Love”, “Bad Company”, “Ready For Love”, “Burning Sky”, “Shooting Star” and “Rock and Roll Fantasy”.
Paul Rodgers is still going strong today...has lived in Vancouver, Canada for several years now and have seen him live four times, his voice is still powerful into his 60's. He has been on the Rolling Stone list of Top 100 vocalists of all-time. His live setlist is heavy on Bad Company songs, a couple of classics by Free, a couple by the band The Firm (featured Paul and Jimmy Page), and some from his solo career. Oh, and he also joined the original members of Queen to form Queen + Paul Rodgers, who toured for a couple of years after the passing of Freddie Mecury. You should play the song 'Bad Company' by the band Bad Company....thanks for a great channel!!!
One of the great rock classics of the 70's. This is a banger and a song of many vibes. Lead singer Paul Rogers has one cool voice. My Brother Jake another one of their classics.
This is my earliest memory of a song being played from my brother's room with the windows opened in the attic back in the Bronx. Good times. You can bet the neighbors, the projects, and people on the #1 subway could hear it.
Lead singer Paul Rogers is considered to be one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time. After Free, he created the iconic band, Bad Company who had many hits.
Great classic, fell in love with Paul Rogers' style right away. I was just a kid when this was released but it played on the airwaves throughout my teens and 20's, it was THAT classic from the start.
I feel so dumb that I didn't realize that Paul Rodgers was the lead singer of Free before he went on to be the lead singer of Bad Company. And he has such a distinctive voice, too. 🙂 Awesome song and reaction, guys!
Paul Rodgers voice is perfect for this song. The guitarist, Paul Kossoff, was legendary, but sadly died at only 25. Had he lived he could have been ranked among the best ever. The way the guitar and bass work together is brilliant. A very influential band - AC/DC in particular is one of many bands that owe a lot to Free.
Perfect band! Great bass - Andy Feaser * Thumping drums - Simon Kirke Screaming guitar - Paul Kossoff * Amazing vocals - Paul Rodgers * passed away. Hope you can react to other FREE songs. "Wishing Well" and "My Brother Jake" are great tracks!
Along with Andy Fraser (bass, keys) and Simon Kirke (drums) comprising one of the tightest rhythm sections of their day. Kirke is quite under appreciated, in my view anyway 😊
An all-time classic which can be a little repetitive towards the end but they added so much good stuff there that it's hard to criticize it. The great vocals, simple, good-sounding drums, very nice bass and a hard riff (well, back then it was) with gooooood solo there. Dave Murray, the guitar player from Iron Maiden is a massive fan of this band and was heavily inspired by them to learn how to play in the '70s. It's never been my favourite song but it's one of the milestones in the history of rock and it's very likeable. For anyone having a "trip playlist" this is a must-have.
Bought it when it first came out. Played it till the stylus went blunt. Get chills every time I hear it. Paul Rodger’s best rock/blues voice ever, and still performing.
Paul Rodgers has/had a gorgeous voice. I believe he was Vocalist of the Year at least once. He can scream, but he's more likely to be silky smooooooth, possibly within the same song. So sensual! He's an interesting person, too- very intelligent and intense and into martial arts.
This may be the only Free song I'm familiar with. I like it a lot, so not sure why I never delved into more of their music. Stellar guitar. Simple but very effective. Nice choice, Nick.
This is such a great song! I was in 8th grade when it dropped. I was a drummer/pianist at the time. LOVE at1st listen. Paul Rogers is amazing!! Have you heard Bad Co.? They have some very good tunes. I saw them live in 1977 ❤
I love Paul Rodgers and I love this song. Also love all his songs with Bad Company, he is fantastic and so classic. Never gets old. MUST HAVE Bad Company's "Feel Like Making Love" on your channel. So classic.
This song epitomizes the 70s for me! After the 60s era, & all of the "experimentation"" 👀 with various stuff, (left a lot of emptiness, loneliness in folks)...believe it or not, there were plenty of guys who were actually wanting a genuine Girlfriend relationship, not just a one time "romp" ...although romping may have kicked things off... like in this SONG😅! No matter how many times the radio played All Right Now, I NEVER turned it off, or tired of it, because 70s were great for me!
This makes me smile. I have happy memories of being a little kid getting in the car for school carpool, and this comes on the radio. PAUL RODGERS! It's a classic rock song. I love your smile, Nick! "We need to do the thing." "Want to get one in." You guys crack me up!
When this came out, went and got the record and wore it out! Paul’s voice is amazing! He never gets the credit he deserves. Check out him and Jimmy Page in THE FIRM. Great music! ☮️❤️🎼😎
I think Paul Rodgers is arguably the greatest rock and roll voice of all time. Followed closely by Steve marriott. How he's not in the rrhof is beyond me.
Grew up during the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s so of course I’m partial to the music of these decades. Damn it was fun! Keg parties in the boonies, bonfires, and multiple people had battery operated radios then the boom boxes came along😂. We were in heaven!✌🏻😂🤘🏻
Free was a very bluesy rock band Paul Rogers. Vocals Simon Kirk. Drums Andy Frazer Bass Paul Kossoff. Guitarist They influenced many bands and musicians over the years With Paul Rogers soulful vocals - in fact he’s call the voice , Andy Frazer awesome thumping bass lines , Paul Kossoff great guitar play and Simon Kirk was a huge drumming influence on a particular goofy teen from the SF Bay Area
Y'all crack me up with your football analogies. 😂 I'm so glad you did this absolute classic Hard Rock track. Paul Rodgers really got funky here with his vocals; typically they're more of the straight ahead Hard Rock variety, but that man really displays some major soul here. For a totally different type of Free song (but also very good), check out "Wishing Well." (Then afterwards also check out "Wishing Well, by the artist formerly known as Terence Trent D'Arby, now Sananda Maitreya.) You guys should also check out Paul Rodgers' following (and even better) band, Bad Company, starting with - what else? - the song "Bad Company." 😊
This song gave me the chance to mention an almost forgotten great track: Stone Cold Sober by Crawler. Crawler was formed after the death of Paul Kossoff of Back Street Crawler.
Would love to see a double shot reaction to Mr. Big by Free and then the version of Mr. Big as covered by Gov't Mule, which is equally as good. Fantastic Song!
Time for more Steely Dan. Try title track "Royal Scam" or Haitian Divorce, also from Royal Scam. Take a deep breath and dive in. Fun to watch you learn like I did many years ago.
Organic really is the perfect word to describe it, Nick. The song was instrumental, (if you pardon the pun), in influencing hard rock-blues groups to come, like Paul Rodgers' (own) very popular Bad Company, ("Feel Like Makin' Love", "Bad Company", "Good Lovin' Gone Bad", just to name a few songs), and Foghat, (best known for "Slow Ride" and "Fool for the City"). You can even hear Free's influence in Foreigner. Regarding Rodgers' vocals, he was highly thought of, and before he formed Bad Company, he was asked to join Deep Purple when vocalist Ian Gillian left, as well as the Doors, after Jim Morrison died. Even Freddie Mercury was a fan of him, and Rodgers has collabed with Queen after Freddie's death. Pretty much the ultimate compliment.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a complete joke! That ain't opinion, it's a fact. My proof? Paul Rodgers isn't in it. Not with Free and amazingly not even with Bad Co. A total disgrace that the RRHOF will never live down. Not to mention that it took 14 years to induct the band that invented "Prog Metal", Rush. And that was far from the first clue that the RRHOF was not a serious endeavor. It might've started out with all good intents but that seems to have soured in recent years.
Bad Company is my absolute favorite!
Oh, I didn’t know that!!
And he also was in The Firm with the great Jimmy Page... 🙂 Remember their 1985 hit "Radioactive"?
Rodgers & the drummer Simon Kirke. It was a supergroup with bassist Boz Burrell from King Crimson and guitarist Mick Ralphs from Mott The Hoople.
@@gesundheit602 Sure do
Clear vocals over a fantastic groove have made it classic. great reaction
One of the greatest rock singers of all time
Love love love
Can’t get much more classic rock than this one 🤘🏼
This was a hip song that once you heard it you never forget it. You know it's Paul Rodgers as soon as he opens his mouth.
An all-time, grungy, true rock classic. Sounds as good now as it did when I was a kid of 7 in 1970.
One of the best rock songs EVER. Banger.
Paul Rodgers is still going strong today...has lived in Vancouver, Canada for several years now and have seen him live four times, his voice is still powerful into his 60's. The fantastic music we heard in the radio daily. Grew up in the best era!!
Crazy how one song only gives you a peck of this band’s soul. ❤
One of the great rock classics of the 70's. This is a banger and a song of many vibes. Lead singer Paul Rogers has one cool voice. My Brother Jake another one of their classics.
Awesome classic!!!!
Paul Rodgers….Rock and Roll legend. Thank you guys
Paul Kosoffs Solo on this is one of the most melodic Hypnotic Coolest Solos in Rock History.
Love watching your reactions guys!
Rock doesn’t get any more classic than this song! ✌️❤️🤘
Edit: Paul Rogers was the singer. He moved on to Bad Company.
Paul Rodgers! Free and Bad Company..two of the best!!❤❤❤…..those first rifts brought everyone to the dance floor.
Great classic, fell in love with Paul Rogers' style right away. I was just a kid when this was released but it played on the airwaves throughout my teens and 20's, it was THAT classic from the start.

"Wishing Well" and "My Brother Jake" are great tracks!
So many people are forgetting what a major contribution Paul Kossof's guitar playing was to this song and to the band in general!!
Along with Andy Fraser (bass, keys) and Simon Kirke (drums) comprising one of the tightest rhythm sections of their day. Kirke is quite under appreciated, in my view anyway 😊
There’s fabulous video of them performing this!
An all-time classic which can be a little repetitive towards the end but they added so much good stuff there that it's hard to criticize it. The great vocals, simple, good-sounding drums, very nice bass and a hard riff (well, back then it was) with gooooood solo there.

FIRE-BANGER!!! :) Ryan got here as FAST AS HE COULD!! GLAD he was introduced to THIS COOL GEM!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bought it when it first came out. Played it till the stylus went blunt. Get chills every time I hear it. Paul Rodger’s best rock/blues voice ever, and still performing.
This is a great classic. I grew up with this fantastic music. 🎶🎶🎶
The two Pauls. Paul Carrack and Paul Rogers sang on many different bands. Their voices are distinct.
Paul Rodgers has/had a gorgeous voice. I believe he was Vocalist of the Year at least once. He can scream, but he's more likely to be silky smooooooth, possibly within the same song. So sensual! He's an interesting person, too- very intelligent and intense and into martial arts.
The long version. Lovely.
Great song! Doesn’t get old🔥
This may be the only Free song I'm familiar with. I like it a lot, so not sure why I never delved into more of their music. Stellar guitar. Simple but very effective. Nice choice, Nick.
Paul Rodgers....best singer in history. Fact.
This is such a great song! I was in 8th grade when it dropped. I was a drummer/pianist at the time. LOVE at1st listen. Paul Rogers is amazing!! Have you heard Bad Co.? They have some very good tunes. I saw them live in 1977 ❤
I feel good after hearing it
I love Paul Rodgers and I love this song. Also love all his songs with Bad Company, he is fantastic and so classic. Never gets old. MUST HAVE Bad Company's "Feel Like Making Love" on your channel. So classic.
Paul Rodgers could sing the dictionary and I would listen.
The bass is sick all the way thru❤❤
Goodness knows how many times I've heard this but it always sounds better every time. Paul Rodgers voice is just so good.
Oh yeah! Takes me back to my teens, and watching the clip on Saturday morning music on tv here in Australia 🤘
I said hey hey, all right now baby it’s alright now. Reminds me of the boardwalk in NJ in the 70’s.
I highly recommend 'Oh I Wept' from the same album. Absolutely stunning.
So great to be around back then!
No one else could have sung this song but me 😁
✌Peace✌
Great song!
Paul Rogers was the lead singer, and when this band broke up, he went to Bad Company
4:14 (single version)
5:31 (album version) U.S. Billboard Hot 100 peak at #4
Great bass!
When this came out, went and got the record and wore it out! Paul’s voice is amazing! He never gets the credit he deserves. Check out him and Jimmy Page in THE FIRM. Great music!
☮️❤️🎼😎
I hear you Nick . This song plays --s-o-- easy that you kinda go ear blind to how great it was/ is 😊
This is a great song, very popular in the 70's.
They had a sound close to Humble Pie. This song makes me think of 30 Days in the Hole.
Agree. Paul Rodgers and Steve marriott have the best voices in rock and roll
Doesn't this seem like a perfect song for movies like "Dazed and Confused" and "Almost Famous"?
Ready for "Wishing Well" or "Heartbreaker" (my favorite from them).
I think Paul Rodgers is arguably the greatest rock and roll voice of all time. Followed closely by Steve marriott. How he's not in the rrhof is beyond me.

The Hunter, Wishing Well
I remember skating to this song at the Blue Lick skating rink. (Sadly, it's not there anymore...)
Don't overthink this song...sometimes a cigar is just a cigar!
One of my faves 💯💜
Free was a very bluesy rock band
Paul Rogers. Vocals
Simon Kirk. Drums
Andy Frazer Bass
Paul Kossoff. Guitarist
They influenced many bands and musicians over the years With Paul Rogers soulful vocals - in fact he’s call the voice , Andy Frazer awesome thumping bass lines , Paul Kossoff great guitar play and Simon Kirk was a huge drumming influence on a particular goofy teen from the SF Bay Area
Paul Kossoff on lead RIP

My favorite version of "Wishing Well" was done by Blackfoot.
This song gave me the chance to mention an almost forgotten great track: Stone Cold Sober by Crawler. Crawler was formed after the death of Paul Kossoff of Back Street Crawler.
Their song, Oh I Wept from this same album, is even better imo.
Classic cut!
Paul Roger’s, awesome vocalist! Bad Co, took him to a higher level of stardom! Play Silver, blue and gold! Or, Superstar!
Would love to see a double shot reaction to Mr. Big by Free and then the version of Mr. Big as covered by Gov't Mule, which is equally as good. Fantastic Song!
Paul Rodgers also went on to cofound The Firm with Jimmy page in early 80s,they had a few hits
🤘🏽If some Gen Alpha kid used “All Right Now” in a Tiktok and it went viral, this classic bop would have a resurgence.✌🏽
Lets gooo ! 1 in the mourning in Portugal, love your reacts !

Explore Bad Company. ANY song by Bad Company in the early years.
If you hear someone yelling at you later, it's me because I will have this song stuck in my head!
Saying it to just get some, then he falls in love!
That guitar solo is so tasty
Fun song!!🤘🔥
🔥
It's a rough, edgy song in a Steely Dan format.
Now react to Ready For Love by Bad Company and the same lead singer Paul. It is 🔥🔥🔥
Yes! The party song, alwaus jad to be on the list🎼🎵
Paul is great. ❤ check out (shooting star)
Oh bull crap! It is the driving beat and his raw voice. Add a little nasty to it. Instant hit!
Paul Rodgers when he was a Baby Boy!
He has an unmistakable voice. Bad Company’s voice too.
You should have watched the live version.
Classic

Wish your other dude was available for this one!
Never could figure out why it was so popular. Really not a lot of imagination.
Hi, please check out UB40 and Pato Banton - Baby Come Back
Pity you didn't do the isle of wight clip .
🙎🏽🙎🏻💙
Idk what your talking about. This is an up tempo song for sure. There's no other way to hear it.
