Walmart carry’s a wrangler stretch fit pant that’s like an outdoor/hiking pant and they’re super comfortable. Have a bunch of pockets as well and don’t look as tactical as 5.11 also $30 per pair instead of the 80+ for 5.11. They’re called wrangler flex waist outdoor cargo and they have od green, grey, kangaroo and a few others

Something that has been helpful for me when a wearing belt with a buckle is to have the buckle offset by one section to the left or right. It keeps the buckle from rubbing up on the holster and reduces some of the pressure. Also, ratchet-style belts are great for getting precise with tightness (or give yourself some post-meal breathing room) instead of fiddling with the holes.

I have the Axis Elite but me with a smaller frame 5’8” 165 lbs 30 waist have find it wide with the side car style holster even with the mag carrier attached with paracord it doesn’t allow for movement independently. So I’ve gone to using the Tier 1 Xiphos with a separate mag carrier with adjustable retention I got off Amazon. Instead of the plastic wide clip that doesn’t allow to adjust ride height and tends to cant out. I have a tuckable Ulticlip which allows for height adjustment. Plus since the Ulticlip clips on the belt it doesn’t move side to side on a Kore essentials belt or a Blue Alpha edc belt. I have it setup for deep carry with my 19x Glock mag. Separately they move independently which has been way more comfortable.

Ive noticed with many channels that talk and coach concealed carry, specifically with tshirt only, majority if not all are wearing a black tshirt. A black tshirt works best to further conceal any abnormalities with a possible print hence it being black and darker in color. I’d love to see you guys talk on and wear lighter colored tshirts and even a white tshirt and give some pointers on those. I’m sure many of us carriers wear different colored shirts and not only black so I think it’d help us all. Could you all consider speaking on that topic if you haven’t already?

PRSM jeans are the GOAT for people like myself who carry a bunch of stuff in their pockets. They carry a higher price tag, but are made in the USA and Ryan is a good guy who pioneered the hip pockets that a lot of brand are incorporating into their own designs now. For a cheaper option, I think it's hard to beat Off the Grid Surplus jeans. I like their shorts too.

Zach: Fit 10/10. Nothing's too baggy. Pumas (?) Are also a good call. Gum sole, good traction, classic streetwear brand.
Aaron: +1 dress for the body you have! Also nailed the fit (especially the length) on the pants.
Player 3: (sorry, I didn't catch your name) Thank you for calling out the risk of shirts being too long & hanging up under your butt. I see that happen to a lot of guys that carry in dress clothes for the first time.

Nothing screams "I'm carrying" like wearing tactical clothing, so I avoid that stuff. No reason you can't have your own style while carrying either. In the fall/winter I typically wear stretch jeans from Rock Revival, BKE, and Salvage as my main go-to. They've made high quality stretch denim for over 15 years and they're made to last a lifetime. I'll pair them with a Kore Essentials belt and a button up shirt (usually patterned plaid). This allows me to still conceal a duty-size 2011 and a spare mag on a NeoMag in my pocket this way.
For my summer carry I'll wear any shorts with belt loops, Kore Essentials belts, and varying loose-fitting t-shirts. What you carry is just as important, and my SA Hellcat nets me a lot of flexibility. HTH

I carry my CZ P01 in an Agis holster, with a Blue Alpha Gear belt. I went two sizes up on my pants. For the shirt it’s either an XL T-shirt, or a casual button down untucked of course. It took a little while to get my wardrobe together, but once I nailed it I could hide a full sized gun no problem if I wanted to.

My best advice is you need "stretch" or "spandex" in the fabric list for most flannels or tops like that. Sawyer is 100% correct about the flannels getting caught up on your butt. I've carried almost every day for two years now and I've had to modify my wardrobe significantly to make it work. My flannels, vests and jackets, had no give / stretch in them, so it really hurts the draw. I take a lot of firearms classes and you find out real quick what works and what doesn't when you're in a good class.

I wear your shirts and 5.11 jeans or tactical pants. The 5.11 pants have extra pockets that I love for flashlights, knife, and mags. I went up one size in T-shirts (M to LG) when I started carrying that helps conceal more. I wear my normal pant size 30 and use a ratcheting tactical belt. For dresser occasions I wear at the 4 o’clock position and tuck in a dress shirt.

I have the same issue with my shirt catching on my rear. I have a short torso and long limbs so a shirt that fits my arms and chest size usually looks a little like I'm wearing a dress. I have to have all of my shirts shortened about 3 to 4 inches so that they don't grab my rear during a draw. Fortunately, my wife can do this for me but if I were single, I'd just have to suck it up and pay a tailor.

    A couple tips
    1. wear a undershirt always even with just a t-shirt. Usually a under armor heat gear. If you tuk your under shirt into your underwear it will stay down.
    2. One size larger t-shirt while carrying full sized guns = a p10 F with 21 plus one. Use my regular size when wearing compact or sub compact. Also if you wear a button up with a dark color or pattern with a good holster you can conceal a large handgun much easier w
    3. Vertex pants all day used them for years. I do use one size larger pants because It’s more comfortable with a IWB while concealing a large firearm.
    4. Most important get a good belt and holster set up. I use the tier 1 xiphos holster and the inside the waistband extended mag carrier. That way the pistol holster and the mag carrier are separated. Makes for more comfortable carrying. Modern Samurai subscribes to carrying in this manner.
Working out helps. Also long torsos body shaped people have a leg up. And lastly good posture also helps.

Great stuff, but like everything else that has to do with conceal carry, it all comes down to feel and preference.
For example I can’t carry appendix because my stomach will push the barrel in between my legs. If I have an accidental discharge I will shot myself in the spine if I was to carry appendix.
So I keep my Glock17 with a red dot and light at 3-4 o’clock.
The day I forget my stomach somewhere, I would love to try your stuff. 👍🏻👍🏻

AARon, what brand of TShirt are you wearing under your button down? I’ve found that compressions T Shirts, sleeveless, work to keep the gun dry, and the compression helps keep the T shirts very well against the body, which helps when clearing the outer garment.

I appendix carry a XDM Elite 4.5 OSP. A good belt and not very tight fitting close is definitely a must. It really isn't that hard to carry and it is definitely nice having 16rds of 10mm on tap lol. Wish Tier 1 would make an Axis Elite holster for it that doesn't require a light add on.

Ive always wondered if any of you guys on the Tier team put wedges on your holsters? I tend to find it conceals even more as it pushes the top of the gun into you more, but it does seem more uncomfortable to wear, I feel like I print more without a wedge.

Definitely a good belt like KoreEssentials. As for a piece of clothing I have to have, it’s a sleeveless compression type undershirt/rash guard like an Under Armour or one I recently found, Otte Gear. In Florida it gets hot so for me an undershirt is a must because of sweat. Plus it!s compression and fits tight, but comfortable. And unlike a regular cotton undershirt, it eliminates the chance of grabbing your undershirt accidentally when clearing your cover garment.

Smedium..haven’t heard that one in a while. Might pony up for some good quality pants. Gussets, heavy duty & all. If they feel good & can come out of a few days in the woods without any major issues, they won’t go back in the mail with a note within a week. The better known names charge more $ but the customer is #1. That’s worth the $ imho. L8r. Thx.

Awesome, great content once again. Definitely appreciate the topic. I have been a experimenting with clothing myself. It’s been a bit of a grind and slightly costly to finding something I am happy with. Like you show here it’s not just about printing or concealment. It’s also about being able to do things comfortably as well. The day to day stuff and being able to draw easily. Stretchy pants has made a huge difference for me. Anyways you all highlighted all of the things to consider. Something I didn’t do when I first started carrying. Thanks again! I look forward in trying out some of the brands you mentioned.

when running ultraclips as a daily, is a gun belt still necessary bc i hear using them with a belt will wear them down. Im asking bc i dont always wear jeans. ive looked into other options like sweats with a belt in the inner and the atlas system but as far as ultraclips go i notice with sweats or looser clothing, getting a consistent draw is hard bc the holster will move up with the firearm as youre drawing.

    • @Tier1Concealed
      @Tier1Concealed  ปีที่แล้ว

Yeah, especially if you have a heavier or bigger gun, you'll probably need the support of a belt. It just depends on the setup and everything.
