Magical. The English countryside and historic buildings hold such charm and you frame them in the most beautiful and liesurely way.
Those lovely flowers just starting to bloom under the apple trees are camassia. They are native to my part of the world, British Columbia (and the Pacific Northwest in general) in Canada. One of your videos, in early March, was the last one I watched with my dear husband. He was in hospital and we watched your post and one other on his cell phone. It was the first time, since he was admitted, that he forgot he was in a hospital bed having trouble swallowing and walking and talking, and instead he watched the screen and said "how lovely!", "I'd love to go there". He died later that evening, and I am FOREVER grateful for that little piece of time where he was taken out of himself, happily watching with me, as we used to do at home. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart! I am now watching your videos on my own, but this memory gives me some comfort and I can imagine he's with me.
Thank you for letting me know about the camassia, I’ve learnt something new 🙏 I’m so so very sorry for your loss, that is heartbreaking that you have lost your husband. I’m sure you are feeling the loss immensely, and yet you are taking the time to leave such a beautiful comment. That warms my heart to know that your husband had a bit of escapism, however briefly. I’m just sat here with my Mum and I read your comment out to her and she’s in tears. Thank you for sharing ❤️ Sending you a big big hug and lots of love. I hope you have a circle of loved ones around you during this time.
Bless your heart and I hope you can picture him walking in the most beautiful gardens of Heaven.
@@theslowtravelsfamily Thank you for this sweet reply. I do have family and friends who have been so kind and generous with their time and care of me. In fact my cousin is flying out from Sussex on what would have been my husband's 68th Birthday to spend time with me here on Vancouver Island. My husband was a very special, very dear person. I miss him more than I can say, and the kind thoughts of so many people mean a great deal.
What a magical place!! I am astonished. I can not believe this place is actually real. It feels like being in Alice Wonderland or some kind of children's book. Fantastic video🤗💖🇦🇷
Большое спасибо за прогулку. Эти сады прекрасны даже в дождливую погоду.
You’re most welcome 😊 they truly are beautiful gardens. I’ll have to return on a warm summers day when they’re at their best
Hi Stacy great video as always, those blue flowers are Camassia's, mine are still in bud. I love Coughton Court, take care.
Thank you so much Christine! 🥰🙏 Ooh lovely, I’ve never heard of them before. You’ve taught me something new 😊
Complimenti per il cottage è meraviglioso 🌳🌳🏡🌳🌳
I'm from Connecticut. As I watch your videos, I enter another world. The woodland floors full of bluebells, and wild garlic (I never knew existed),fritillary are stunning. Thank you for this. Good for my soul and mind.
You should visit, I live here and it truly is an amazing place. Just driving by the woods you can smell the wild garlic, we pick it and make garlic butter.
@@SmokingLaddy Someday I will. Soon will retire. I visited London in mid 1980s. Would love to return to England and visit the countryside.
@@patriciacinea3097 Please do! I’m sure we would all make you feel welcome again, I’m sure it would be a very different experience nowadays, especially if all you have to compare with is London.
@@SmokingLaddy Thank you!
Just beautiful! I could look at those gorgeous gardens all day. Good for the soul! 💗

The ever enchanting English gardens I remember so well on my trip to the UK many moons ago! Thank you from equally beautiful Yankee New England where many of the British traditions still live on, lovely gardens and teas at home or in historic inns and hotels! Cheers~🫖🍻💐

Can see you and yoru daughter seemed to be left handed and they say peole left handed are people who can master crafts.
Your daughtre learning some of the needle works is relaxing and wish so many would take tim to allow their young peole to learn things like this.
They say ther is "No place like home" but am sure leaving her has to be very hard! But maybe you will return again and if we are lucky you would not mind including us as well?! I love old homes and museams etc and to think that this home was in same family so long, is amazing! This truly tells you how marvelous their memories must have been ,and passing the home down, was meant as such a jesture of love!
So Beautiful ❤❤❤❤
Some lovely locations ❤️
I don't know if this is an existing quote but I heard the words 'You gave me the thoughts that my soul needed to hear' Thank you.
I don’t know either but that would be a lovely quote 🥰
What a beautiful video. I just love spring ! Heidi, please keep us posted on the progress of your kitty project!
Спасибо! Настоящая сказка!❤😊
Lovely gardens!!
They really are lovely 🥰 Just wait until you see them in summer!
So lovely and always enjoy your commentary 💕
Thank you so much 🥰 Happy Wednesday!
Lovely landscape ❤
So many beautiful places ❤️
Such a lovely, relaxing meander around some very special places. English gardens are an inspiration. Bluebell woodlands are sublime! My cat stopped a moment to be sure there were no actual birds inside the house, lol. That dining room will look so much better with the original open beam ceiling. Always happy to see careful restoration true to the period; original plans, blueprints, old drawings, letters, receipts, etc., are often preserved when the same family has been in the home for centuries and can inform this type of work. Thank you for pointing out special aspects of these amazing structures. :)
***Greetings from Northern Minnesota, USA! As always , I thoroughly enjoyed your video! Safe travels!***
Hello from across the pond! Thank you so much for joining us on this virtual adventure 🥰
I loved this tour with you, just beautiful. Thank you for showing me inside a thatched cottage too.
I spent many happy visits to Hidcote which encouraged me to become a garden designer and helped me increase my knowledge of plants. It’s changed and evolved over the years but is still incredibly beautiful.
Such a stunning video thank you, just what I needed after a long week ❤
🐦💛💛💛Simply Beautiful!! Thanks a lot for capturing these relaxing moments😊. Liked 👍 Many lovely greetings from your new Subscriber👋👋

Camassia’s are also known as Asphodels. There’s a white form as well as a blue one. The newer hybrid camassias are true white, but the original white camassia was a ghostly grey colour which in Greek mythology carpeted the underworld floor of Hades.
Very beautiful❤️my dream is to visit there one day❤️i wonder what kind of camera she’s using
One would think keeping the grounds in such maticulate condition would require constant workers. But I see none.
I tried to film around them 😅 there were plenty of gardeners about, even in the rain
WOW amazing to see the bluebell woods. such a dream and cozy. very medieval tooヽ(͡◕ ͜ʖ ͡◕)ノ
Aren’t they magical?! It’s always amazing to see them, I don’t think I’ll ever tire of seeing the woods come alive with them 🥰
😅😂😅😅😅😅😅well ingormeti0n.Good show more content 😅😅
