When all other trains fail... steam finds a way through!

On the 23rd May 2024, as the West Coast Main line ground to a halt due to flooding in and around Carlisle, the last thing you would expect to be allowed to run would be rail tour pulled by a Steam locomotive of all things!!
Originally, I had hoped to see Sir Nigel over Shap, but given the weather and vague uncertainty that she would run, I aimed for Penrith instead. At least I would be dry if she didn't make it - but make it she did! See what I was able to make of capturing this triumph over adversity!
