I've watched the series through twice and I'm afraid to say I fell in love with Aaron. He's a wonderful example of a rough diamond: a pitbull with a heart of pure gold. You need to start right from the beginning when Aaron first gets back to Emmerdale and follow through. I cant recommend this storyline enough.
Now, this is a real love story....nothing like Aaron and Robert. I wish Emmerdale would go back to this simple and uncomplicated love between to people.

These two are the reason I started watching ED, then they go and kill off Jackson, I was distraught. A lot of these awkward moments remind me of my partner and I when we first got together. Long live Jackson.
So where has Marc Sillcock gone.. this was a great storyline and the love story so well done, both young actors (then), maybe just out of acting college (from what Ive read) struggling with PDA in their role.. se well done. Just wish Marc was on our screens now..

This was such a time of innocence and sweet love. Why did the writers take them down the path of destruction; look where Aaron has end up. However, they could bring Jackson back...Jackson said that if he could come back he would watch over Aaron. They could bring him back as a ghost that only appeared when Aaron really need him...and like he was before the accident, of course. Jackson coming back as a ghost would add a new character to Emmerdale and give a wonder twist to the soap. So, who about it writers, are you will to play with the idea?

One of the most postive and popular gay couples on British TV history. This story has done so much for the understanding of gay people. And yet what do Emmerdale producers do , the kill one of them off. Loads of story left in these two. Shame on you Emmerdale .

No you are right, it is the actor (James Sutton) who played John Paul Mcqueen in Hollyoaks. He played a straight character called Ryan Lamb. He was in Emmerdale from June 2009 til April 2011. Alias the role he played in Emmerdale was not as popular as his Hollyoaks role.

I dont know how things happen but what i knew is that sacrifice is absolutely our(gays)infinite weakness yet our strongest. I know what it felt like to have someone with so many complications and it does hurts.
This was my actually first british gay storyline following, even before Ste (Hollyoaks) and anything with penis. Jackson was unfortunate just the catalyst for Aaron's coming out. Jackson's storyline should have been longer and happier, but it's still worth watching, albeit sad. Definitely the stereotypical gay storyline of the early 2010s

after seeing tonights episode of Jackson crashing after fight with his boyfriend, i hope it's an eyeopener to straight people to leave gay people alone and just deal with it! They aren't hurting anyone! I cried tonight watching it!
It is the Gay storyline of Aaron and Jackson from the UK Soap "Emmerdale". The storyline ended a few years ago but the character of Aaron is back in the years after the leaving the show for a few years. He won like every freaking Best Actor award in the UK for this show and he deserved them all.
