It's such a shame people disregard this series. This is easily my favourite rendition of scooby doo to date and I loved the shows darker and more story driven direction. Pericles was one of the most badass and scary villains of all time. I hope that one day it gets the recognition it deserves.

Cassidy's death still gets me a bit. She died to save the gang, but noone saved her. Yet, she died to save the world and reset Crystal Cove's history, and in the end, everyone lives.

Something about the show that I don't think is talked about enough is how quietly abusive Shaggy's mom is. From the first episode she was micromanaging his life, telling him to get new friends, and in the season 2 premier we find that she literally sold Scooby after sending Shaggy away to military school because she didn't want to deal with either of them.

They need to create a sequel showing the mysteries outside of Crystal Cove. We need more content like this show! A more adult take on Scooby-Doo with real danger and real mystical foes. It's what made Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island and The Witch's Ghost so amazing.

The headless horror was the most terrifying thing I’ve seen when I was 12. It was something about its horrific autonomy that was really unsettling for me. That mouth, those teeth, the locations them, it made me run out of the rum and later have my sister recap it for me so I could know how it ended. It evoked the same horror as the Teratoma tumor, only search it up if you have A iron gut, it’s not pretty

Perhaps the fact that Fred is as tall as this thing whereas it lacks a head, it makes the creature kinda realistically dangerous beings slightly bigger than you but extremely threatening. And the huge mouth with pointy teet, the red and black eyes makes it kinda creepy, even for the show's standard
Several years ago I never thought this would have a single death and I didn't realize the amount of people that died and how adult this movie's theme I never thought it was this dark

Mystery incorporated tbh was different but was insanely awesome . Usually scooby doo shows are the mystery but it did touch on things I’m sure we see a lot . Fred / Daphne relationships and shaggy and Velma dating stuff . Also this show had cameos and moments of classic cartoon shows like that one ep featured all the sidekicks etc . Or Johnny quest . Also what I found unique is it had an story line that occur throughout the show with a curse treasure and previous mystery solving gangs . Now that’s unique.
Are we not going to mention the death of the destorydo employee in The Cicada Calls? Also, the old lady had a good reason to be the villain in that episode. She sold her own natural recipe to the company so more people could enjoy it (and for money purposes) and found out they were putting toxic human waste inside it to make it taste better, and giving it to children. In my eyes, that's really messed up.
I always watch this series on Netflix, even when some episodes are disappointing, it wasn't a cash grab. Effort was put into the series and it makes me really sad inside that this series was not super recognized. I watch this more than I do any of the other scooby doo series, a lot of characters cared for one another, even when they were working behind the gang's back, they sacraficed themselves to secure a better tomorrow for everyone. Also; I believe the reason the Entity failed to consume all and win is because he didn't devour Scooby like it was prophesied. By Pericles intervening he actually helped to save everything.

Great list, but I would like to highlight Night terrors, which is an obvious parody of the shining, and while the Mystery isn't that interesting watching it when I'm older, this episode used to freak me out as a kid, same with another episode that was left out, Man in the mirror. That episode is so original and I think definitely deserved an honorable mention. This show was so perfect and pulled off what a lot of shows can't even do. Have a compelling dark story but still makes you laugh and not the cringy kind of humor either, this show was my childhood and I still watch it to this day, much, much, older. The fight scenes are just as epic as something in live-action, and the villains are intimidating and the deaths are emotional. Congrats Warner brothers, this is easily my favorite tv show of all time.
I'm glad this show had an end, many good shows don't even get that, but can you imagine another season. I mean the show ended with the acknowledgement of the world resetting and someone else knows, and it wasn't the first time this had happened. GOD this show was too good for this timeline.

I remembered seeing a Scooby Doo episode about a robot dog that freaked me out as a kid, but I couldn't figure out what it was! Thanks to this, I know it was Attack of the Fright Hound, and I know why it freaked me out! Thanks for helping me figure out one of my old memories!
I just realized that the ending with Ellison saying, "You've got a lot of meddling to do." Sort-of implies he also remembers the original timeline. Also, the ending felt unsatisfying to me. The Gang undoing the timeline felt like they accomplished nothing. I know they did technically accomplish their goal, but the fact that no one else remembered it felt empty to me.
I think the episode 'escape form mystery manor' should be included on this list. That episode was all kind of creepy, unsettling and sad at the same time.
Mystery incorporated is the best show that I have ever watched even tho it's creepy as heck, I'll still watch it. I'd rather watch mystery incorporated instead of watching Clarence and Steven universe on CN (cartoon network).
At first, I wasn't sure about the art style, but the storyline and voice-acting won me over! I grew up with the sixties' franchise, and many series and movies afterwards! ^^
The show reminds me of Creepypasta and Happy Tree Friends which I hate Happy Tree Friends a lot I wish it never existed you see I like dark and creepy stuff but not that dark and creepy

Honesty when I watched this show back those few years ago, I somehow didn't find any monster and moment in the show 'scary' expect the nightmare in red episode when paintings of the monstrous freak with that unsettling music, I find that sorta disturbing.
Mystery Incorporated is probably the scariest version of Scooby Doo, and there are many unsettling/best episodes, you gave a great list but I think there are two that should be on this list instead. Nightmare in Red and Escape from Mystery Manor. Those two episode are some of the first that come to mind when thinking of Mystery Incorporated, not only due to how unsettling they are but due to how important they were to the storyline.
Something I like about this show is that thw twists actually make enough sense for the audience to guess, but confusing enough for them to not be sure/not know. I guessed at least half of all the twists correctly.

we see a first a innocent desived family sink into the ground and follow up with the youngest atempting to murder them and finally danny has the curse lifted from him
just to sink to his what we belive is his death

Great list, but I would like to highlight Night terrors, which is an obvious parody of the shining, and while the Mystery isn't that interesting watching it when I'm older, this episode used to freak me out as a kid, same with another episode that was left out, Man in the mirror. That episode is so original and I think definitely deserved an honorable mention.
This show was so perfect and pulled off what a lot of shows can't even do. Have a compelling dark story but still makes you laugh and not the cringy kind of humor either, this show was my childhood and I still watch it to this day, much, much, older. The fight scenes are just as epic as something in live-action, and the villains are intimidating and the deaths are emotional. Congrats Warner brothers, this is easily my favorite tv show of all time.
I'm glad this show had an end, many good shows don't even get that, but can you imagine another season. I mean the show ended with the acknowledgement of the world resetting and someone else knows, and it wasn't the first time this had happened. GOD this show was too good for this timeline.

I just realized that the ending with Ellison saying, "You've got a lot of meddling to do." Sort-of implies he also remembers the original timeline. Also, the ending felt unsatisfying to me. The Gang undoing the timeline felt like they accomplished nothing. I know they did technically accomplish their goal, but the fact that no one else remembered it felt empty to me.
I think the episode 'escape form mystery manor' should be included on this list. That episode was all kind of creepy, unsettling and sad at the same time.
Even after all these years. Mystery Incorporated is still the best Scooby Doo show, just because of the storyline and everything.
This show is not really for kids, but it’s so great and dark, even an adult would taste this show!

At first, I wasn't sure about the art style, but the storyline and voice-acting won me over! I grew up with the sixties' franchise, and many series and movies afterwards! ^^

It surprises me how people always bash Season 1 of Mystery Incorporated when Season 1 has many of the show’s best episodes.
Yeah I agree, I like season 2, but I think the better episodes come from season 1. Also I don’t think anyone bashes it since this show has always been highly rated and it still is.

Honesty when I watched this show back those few years ago, I somehow didn't find any monster and moment in the show 'scary' expect the nightmare in red episode when paintings of the monstrous freak with that unsettling music, I find that sorta disturbing.

Mystery Incorporated is probably the scariest version of Scooby Doo, and there are many unsettling/best episodes, you gave a great list but I think there are two that should be on this list instead. Nightmare in Red and Escape from Mystery Manor. Those two episode are some of the first that come to mind when thinking of Mystery Incorporated, not only due to how unsettling they are but due to how important they were to the storyline.
The cicada one would be absolutely terrifying to be in the situation
