I loved my 1.6 si.. I kinda wish I had it again. But its a different breed from the beasty 1.1..you can get tidy cheap fiestas still but you have to search. The problem is now all the mk3s that have been laying around getting rusty are now becoming classics so people are sticking higher price tags unless they are 'projects; then you see the ones around 3/400
Spot on, there's a fair few on SORN but for a long-time, Ruby was lucky because she was an early one which made it attractive to recommission. Many won't see the light of day, sadly MK3's are not seen in the same bracket as MK2's which hasn't helped survival rates!
Another good video again Andrew. A few nice cars there, but a lot of them suffer with rust. Some could be saved if your prepared to do the welding.
Agreed the problem like our beloved Mk1s is values are very poor on MK3s. Hence why welding is a no-no unless it's a very special car in terms of spec or year or to the owner I.e. family history with car!

There is I'm sure I seen a 16s with mot but needed bodywork as normal £1800 but could be a later one but he I'm a MK1&2 fiesta person but welding don't bother and don't blame you when people mess around with them could be alot of problems but like any ford silly money for a good one
It is silly money when it comes to welding being required but the price is still very high!
Saw a green one on market place today for £750. I think it was in Turvey Northamptonshire/Bedfordshire border.
M567UTV was the registration

@usuallyfixingtinkering I would have to sell something first as l have no room for it. I have a mazda Xedos 6 2l v6 and a Citroën cx to put up for sale soon .🙂
