How flat is flat? You can't know until you compare it to something that's even flatter. That's what a precision straightedge is -- your known-flat thing. Figuring out exactly what the gap is is a job for feeler gauges!

The accuracy is not 0.0001" as in the video description, is 0.001"

Great video! I think a video on the different kinds of torque wrenches would be interesting. I’ve used the standard socket style ones, but I bet there are some unique ones I haven’t heard of for tight spaces or other purposes.
