Love it! Bonus points for the pronounciation of 'wafer' haha, love that Python reference. Again, another epic track with a big chorus, Dave's cleans get better and better. Still find people saying 'power metal' hilarious whenever an extreme band inserts something melodic into a song. If you know Nathrakh well you will know they believe extremity comes in many forms like subject matter and lyrics, and not just the BPM of a song. As much as I think it's important to have blast-filled hellfire songs when you're a band like Nathrakh, variation in extreme metal is far more interesting. Really look into the subject matter of their songs and you will get what they are about. They are a very mature band that stand up for the oppressed and reveal the crap the world throws at us all. Cant wait to write the review!
Aw, fuck your essay. It's not what it was. I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that I enjoy it, I don't. The reason why I would listen for AN older albums was sheer brutality. That's gone now, not saying it's good or bad, just that this album is at the bottom of the list for me. Don't need to get offended just because people don't like it. I always hate this argument. "Just see the lyrics...". It's not poetry. Music must be good too, and it isn't.
OMG, lyrics for an Anaal Nathrakh song? Am I dreaming? Shenanigans aside, they are very powerful lyrics, and the union between them and the video is very poignant. Gotta love AA. Gotta love 'em A LOT.
I found these guys when they released A New Kind Of Horror. I cannot get enough of them. There are so many other albums to soak up. This new track together with Endarkenment absolutely rocks. I cannot wait for the full album. Well done.
Eschaton is probably still my favourite only because that was their newest of the time and the one I found them on, but pretty much everything except Passions has been great.
Hmm...too bad I deleted every trace of that malware (Facebook) from all my devices. It would be nice if there was also a web page or some other kind of alternative.
Anaal Nathrakh are about to release the most fitting soundtrack for 2020, it's insane how this song and Endarkement simply describe the world's state as it is currently with such accuracy
Exactly. Looking at it as it is, it's apocalyptic as hell but considering the state that the world is in right now, it reflects an undoubtedly realistic view of the conditions we're currently living in. Like if you saw this video in 2018, you'd think "What are they talking about? Who wrote this? Apocalypse as a theme is so over done." but looking at it right now you realize that we're living in sort of an apocalypse with marketing, economy, general well-being and everything being endangered. We'll get through it though, we've been in similar situations before but nowadays the negative information from different sources move so fast and reaches everyone that it feels like everything has gone to shit. Take this with a grain of salt but the internet has really removed a barrier that protected us before; not knowing everything.
@@Shadowsdeity The fact that you and me, two complete strangers from different parts of the world, recognize the problem and comprehend its consequences, is pretty much positive. Realization is the first step towards finding a solution. I don't know if we will find one, but we need to find more people that realize the current state they live in and take care of them, treat them well and altogether, we shall try and fix things in our own personal way. Hopes die last and I want to keep hoping. Take good care bro, stay safe
Mankind has been destroying the Earth as an inhabitable planet for centuries. The apocalypse is in slow motion, but if things don't change, mankind will eventually make life impossible on Earth.
@@After9waves Really well said, we gotta realize the problems and work towards solving them, first on an individual level and then hopefully on a global level. And thanks, best of luck to you too.
I'm scared af. Back on October Cattle Decapitation released "bring back the plague"; some months later and we know how the story goes. Now this. It reminds me of this ted talk called "if you want to know the future ask a metalhead". It's accurate but still scary. Great song btw 🤘🏻
If you want to know the future ask the bible. It has been accurate over thousands of years. And it is completely accurate for the time we are living in. The birth pains of the great tribulation. This is just the beginning of sorrows. The worst time of human history is directly before us and people laugh and drink and eat and marry, but they don't repent, they don't fear God. They will.
Björn, I would hope it'd be pretty obvious that of all groups, the one made of rebels and outcasts is not the one to preach at. Guess that was a poor assumption on my part.
Paradise Lost fans: Damn, it's hard to even cope with all of the changes my band does. Death, doom, gothic, with grunt or without and even synth pop.
