isn't that a good thing? yes it gave you shock value to click, but the video gives useful information overall for people who are on the edge with whether they should use qt
I heard the word FREE several times but, really only understood it was free to buy ETFs. Everything else costs you minimum of $5K, like Bonds/GICs... I've invested $8K and now have less in the account.
questrade is missleading, if your an active trader regardless if you have a small or large account.. if your trading frequency is shown that you trade regularly such as daily. Their system will view you as a professionl trader and your fees will be much greater... and that greater fee is not marketed on their website.
My wife and I are going to retire soonish, by which I mean sell off our businesses. This means no more business income (we've always taken dividends). We have plenty of cash right now, will have plenty more when we sell the businesses, and even more when we get inheritances. We have $400K(ish) with an investment firm now that is invested in dividend paying stocks and fixed income products, but the fees are pretty high, so I am exploring options. One thing I don't understand, and need to know, is if I move all my noney into QT and invest in ETF's, mutual funds, high quality stocks etc (a mix of dividend/interest paying) where/how do I get the dividend/interest payments that I want to live on? Is there a separate account type within QT that I have to open up?
I’m interested in their First time buyers savings account. I’m new to investing but I’m eager to get started. I got an email from them and wanted to see what they are all about. Glad to hear this positivity. Great video 🙂
Hey great vid! do you have to put in a min of 1000 to open a TFSA account on questrade or is that only for other accounts? and would you recommend it for day trading? thanks!
Hey bro! You do have to with the TFSA. Generally, the CRA says to stay away from day trading within a TFSA - but if you’re using a standard brokerage account, I believe Questrade trading options are pretty solid!
Thank you so much my friend - I would assume it’s on both ends but I’m not too sure as I haven’t traded options in the platform myself. Interactive Brokers may have more competitive fees for such things!
Have Questrade account and money on the US side. Is there a money market type asset to hold money in that pays a reasonable rate of interest (similar to CDN GIC's).
Thanks, learned a couple of new things about QT.... I have an acct with them already...but I should've gone with IB, as I'm a trader. Anyways maybe in the future.
You can open a Questrade margin account as an international resident. But you'd need a lawyer to sign off to confirm your photo ID unless you have a recent Canadian bank statement
Click bait, the thumbnail gives you a different impression and in the video you mostly end up just telling all good things about Questrade.
Agreed
righttt😂

You mean a TH-camr does what a TH-camr is supposed to do to get views? Wow shocking!
10.95 usd to open a trade
& 10.95 usd to close a trade
That exorbitantly high commission fees😮,
Not worth for small options trader, stay away

Lacking the agility for Options trading compared to Think or Swim
Wish Interactive brokers had an FHSA...
My last trade was a bit of disappointment as my trailing stop didn't trigger and I lost 5 grand.!

@charlotteelizabeth6830bro don’t leave market just invest small amount and learn more
Looks like Canada needs to improve their power grid 😂 Great breakdown as always Nate!
Lol thank you bro!!
Interesting, but talks way too fast for newbies
just replay it; i think you can slow the video down too, on your end with the settings in the video (bottom right corner, i think).

nope the minimum is 250 on a tfsa on questrade
What about the ECN fees? Questrade pass on the ECN fees to the users which could add up to a lot.
is it $10 + $1 per contract for options just to buy or to sell as well?
Thank you for all the great videos i am a new sub for sure

That’s crazy expensive I’m at IBKR pay only 0.63 max per contract
If you switch from a big bank, how do you set up automatic deposits into your Questrade account(s)?
Thanks!
Questrade Brokers Removed the AMC Buy Button after the R-Split ..........
Can I buy cryptocurrency on questrade?
“Usually isn’t a good idea..” ..because I’ve got no idea.
i just wanna invest in s&p 500, which should i use?
same bro idk yet
Great review and comparison!
Is IBKR Das Trader better than Questrade's Edge for day trading?
Off course. Ibkr in my opion is the best for active traders
0:42 // 1:15 Questrade pricing. Thank you
My tfsa suddenly vanished do you know what could be the cause of that ?
uh oh. what did happen?
I think it was stolen! 😂

Does Questrade offer a basic non-registered cash account? I don't see it on their website.
I might be wrong but I believe that is the margin account
It is the Margin account, it offers the option for you to borrow from Questrade if you want.
Thanks, learned a couple of new things about QT.... I have an acct with them already...but I should've gone with IB, as I'm a trader. Anyways maybe in the future.
Great vid. Thx 💖👍
Thank you!!
Looks great from top but as soon as you start using it, you will realise it is misleading. I’m moving to Qtrade for investing.
Thanks nate! Got what i came for
It’s my pleasure!!
Is it true that Questrade is not for europeans?
Yes I believe they just operate in Canada!
You can open a Questrade margin account as an international resident. But you'd need a lawyer to sign off to confirm your photo ID unless you have a recent Canadian bank statement
$1000 is a nothing burger, if you don't have at least $1000 you pretty much broke ass poor person :p
love you too bro!🤭
Bruh this video is sponsored by quest trade what kind of tactic is this lol

Such a bait-and-click video.
Clickbait thumbnail get downvoted
The problem with wealthsimple is that they don't offer forex
What do you mean?
Questrade offers fx trading
What a waste of time....
Hey! I use questrade. I found you through search. I just wanted to make sure that the platform is legit and won’t pull a FTX on me
Questrade has been around for decades and is a heavily regulated platform! It’s held to the same standards as any brokerage with the banks
@@newmoneynate thanks!
Just wish wealthsimple offered options trading ;(
Do you trade a lot of options?
