At 9:57 in case you don't know already the reason you were being stunned is because you had your magic out, which counts as ranged and when enemies are too close when you have ranged equipped its stuns you to keep from shooting them point blank.

Unless they changed it in this mod when you recruit prisoners it will recruit whole stacks of units, so if you have say 6 engineers prisoner and you get a successful recruit you get all 6, so stack prisoners you want to recruit in your town and then get a bunch at once
yeah i gave up 100 in game days and started using cheats. lots of weird broke mechanics, aoe wizards are the tits but do break way too much since the AI is poopoo. still fun, love the big map love that one faction hasnt taken over the map vanilla style.

If you have a throwing weapon in your hand even with a shield, they will stun you when they get close enough. That goes for any ranged weapon in the game with or without a shield. Kinda surprised you didn't know since its been a feature since the game came out
i think if u command ur units go follow you and then tell them to go to a spot works better.Also its better to get content than just 10 minute video every day
I like the video. But this magic is to broken for that game, you are devasteding like 20 units with just one mouse click... And remmber that dwarves have pretty good resistance against magic...
So there is a interruption mechanic with ranged weapons in melee. So you can't really shoot if they can hit you. Atleast not aim. Since magic is considered a firearm, you got interrupted. And it does not care about a shield. I learnt this the hard way, I guess you did too trm. :P

If you press U, your next cast do more damage and i think increase the range too but consume more Mana
