I don't even play X-Wing Miniatures but the Decimator has been one of my favourite ships since Star Wars Galaxies. Also I noticed an error with the art. The boarding ramp is supposed to be on the side like the Falcon not on the bottom like a Lambda (the Interior would NOT have room for it if it was like a Lambda.) I really like the fact that the gun isn't bent out of shape. Mine was so bad it broke off almost Immediately after taking it out of the box. I might get this one if for no other reason than that.
I just noticed the 0-0-0 and BT-1 came in the scum conversion kit but not in the empire conversion kit. So if you are only playing empire the VT-49 box is the only way to get them without crossing factions.
I am returning to X-wing with a large 1.0 (early waves) collection. I am still trying to sort out the differences in 1.0 vs 2.0 packaging. I am told that the Quick Build cards are only in the 2.0 packs and that is a big interest to me who enjoyed the game but not the list building. In this unboxing, I am seeing VERY different Quick Builds than is available on the FFG site. The names are the same, but that is about it. I am writing this in January 2020 and the video is from July 2019. Is the Quick Build packaging just aiming at what is in the retail box or is this part of the living points adjustment of 2.0? That is, why is the Quick Build for Rear Admiral Chiraneau different in the box versus the FFG online document (where he has Swarm Tactics, Minister Tua, and Tactical Officer)? Thank you for your content.

A question about Decimators, not just in X-Wing but also in Armada: what is the best way to counter them? In both games, if someone on the opposing side is flying one or more of those jerks, they not only decimate me, they always annihilate me, and because they're so tanky, I think I've only taken one down once. Any ships or builds in particular that are good to deal with them relatively quickly and easily, and/or can exploit any weaknesses they have? I'd love to see you do an anti-Decimator build at some point, if that is of interest to you! (I've been meaning to ask this on your website, but have been very busy of late and haven't been able to get over there to do so yet, so I thought I'd ask here since you're on Decimators at the moment!). Thank you!
The peg and blade system for xwing sucks in general. They are often super loose. Armada has a way better system. My first gen decimator comes right out as well.

to be fair, a $20 ship looks nice on your shelf forever, a DLC vanishes into the night if the game shuts down.

Decimator in Armada is a beast. Played a game where the guy had 4 decimators and I had a hard time killing them. Love those ships.

Now this is the bird I've been waiting for! I've had some pretty good luck with a U-Wing and I've wanted to try Empire with one of these brutes!

It's great that they have laser cannons that actually look to scale, and not like they belong on a happy meal toy!

I thing that either Nebulons or X-wings are best against them in Armada.
I'm wondering how much of the paint difference is just due to his 1.0 model being old and the paint fading over the years.
Paint is a lot crisper but I've custom painter mine so I won't need this one

this is the first non-scum way to get 0-0-0! Before this you had to buy either the Punishing One or the Scum and Villainy conversion kit.
Paint and peg slightly improved, but otherwise it’s an easy pass.
