I'm straight but have had many friendships and acquaintances with gay people through out my life but I just can't understand the relevance or importance of announcing to the world your sexual orientation whether it be straight or gay. It didn't seem to be important to any of my gay friends that issue or special significance be made of their sexual orientation so long as they were accepted and treated as friends, equals or ofttimes just passing acquaintances. She is completely authentic, speaks of her own role in not examining her life more closely before she did when she finally asked Birney for a divorce. She OWNS that.
