Concerning God, I do believe He loves everyone and I totally disagree with people who reject others because of their sexuality. However, I do my best to follow the Word of our Lord. Being gay is not the sin. Acting on the sin, like any sin is where Jesus draws the line in the sand. I have been with Christ literally since I was born... I was born with Leukemia and my parents were told that they were airlifting me to Johns Hopkins where they were going to do a blood transfusion, but while preparing to send me, I began to breathe on my own. They found me completely healed. Yes, God has always been with me. When I was 5, I had been sexually molested. I was sobbing in the field behind our home, pleading for Him to speak to me, to help me, to tell me He loved me...and HE DID SPEAK TO ME! Enough of that, what I’m trying to say is that I know what is written. The divine word of God by the hands of divinely inspired men of old and prophets. If I am to follow Christ, I must follow what He taught. His words and will are not mine to alter as I choose, but to uphold all the days of my life and I know, that Chely knows this. She says that she’s living her truth and that’s exactly what she’s living. Her truth. Not God’s truth. She has fallen for the lie. And, while I would never reject my child for being gay or lesbian, I would reject the act of homosexuality. I will never put my personal desires before the Will of God. All of our lives we must make decisions and while I’m not nearly perfect, I will not deliberately sin against God. Straight people can be caught in sexual sins as much as anyone. As a straight, unmarried woman, I have choices to make. Suffice it to say, the Lord will not find me guilty of sexual sins. Everyone needs love, comforting, and understanding.
