"Loyal" No, she was not loyal! She abandoned her only friend (who took her in and saved her from starvation) when he was lying paralyzed in the sand. She then left with the man who caused his paralysis and tried to kill him several times. She's actually quite the traitor.
Camden Pyne true, but she came back to Charles in the end of X-Men: Apocalypse to help him teach the x-men to defend themselves. Plus when Charles got shot she went straight to him first not to Eric,( yes she did walk towards his direction but then she went to Charles first). Then Charles told her to go with magneto because he knew she wanted to go with Eric.
Sometimes the victims are necessary for beating the evil people. And she couldn't beat them without her being her - just like Erik learned her. Raven knew that if she will stay with Charles locked in the Academy, she won't be able to accept the real face of hers.
