So many ways to harmonize this one. Played in G like this, it's possible to play almost the whole piece as double stops and, in essence, play one's own harmony line. (Same thing over one string playing it in A.) Example: over bars 7 and 8, where the melody line is an extended note open D string, try playing B-A-G-A-A on the G string to the same rhythm as the melody's B-A-B-E-E from bars 5 and 6 (but with the first four notes slurred so the melody's extended D doesn't break).
