Hey everyone, it's been 3 weeks since I picked up the car and drove it 2400 miles to the great PNW. The car has 3200 miles on it. Some updates include GT350 19" tires and wheels. Lots of lane walk but getting used to it. Set the steering on sport and it's fun. Did a MBRP X-pipe did the aluminizied for weight. Sounds great. Like Matt and Josh mentioned the car sounds great stock. Now it sounds even better. Added a set of Front Premium Leather Seats. Working on wiring up the heat/ac through a separate switch mounted on the glove box..Getting a Tesla Stereo Head unit and doing some suspension stuff. Steeda diff lockout gear.. No issues with the engine or trans. The car is a blast to drive. Avg 22 mpg combined Best driving car I've ever owned.
Some new information on this car and the reliability of the Whipple 3.0 supercharger and the install from Lebanon Ford. I just drove the car 2600 miles in 3 days from Lebanon OH to the Pacific Northwest. The car ran great and averaged 23.9 mpg. I was driving an avg 75-85 over the entire trip. There was one misfire code that I reset with the Tomahawk tuner tool. Never had any other issues. To be honest I was very nervous taking the prototype across the country unproven. It is my understanding there were only 5 prototypes distributed and the other 4 are in the hands of tuners and large whipple clients. No one had driven the car long distances. I averaged 900 miles a day except for the last day. Cruise control was temporarily unavailable. That is being corrected so I had 3 days of throttle action. Made the mpg even more impressive. I love the Kit and I love the car. Very conventional until you step down. Then she goes. Very fun and exactly what I was looking for. The car has 2900 miles and I'm getting the oil changed and will continue to drive it. The all seasons came in handy in Montana due to a big storm. I named the car "007" as it is going to be quite ordinary but so much more. A secret agent if you will. If you have any questions reach out out to me and I will be happy to share. After having the car can you give any update on day to day reliability. Have you done any upgrades to the irs, added better half shafts? I am thinking of doing same car but with performance pack would like your opinion about the whipple and lap.
what i can understand is that lebanon ford markets this base model for guys that want to have a light car with 800 hp and can mod suspension and wheels and tryes in their own time or can upgrade to from lfp what they want and can fiance the whole package though them [all these whinners about the tire size]
Basically what it is You can buy any 5.0 mustang with any performance package that you want and just add the Roush supercharger which is what they do at that dealership

40k for that car is not true at all. I contacted them today and my quote for a supercharged gt was 60k. 9k just for equipment. A whipple supercharger is $7,600. I assume the extra cost is installed and a tune but they didn’t specify what supercharger they use.
I had forgot about these Lebanon upgrade packages. These have to be the deal of century. As long as it keeps the factory warranty in place it is a no brainer.

Just my experience. I reached out to the sales team there at Lebanon Ford and got an immediate response from a sales person. Said I wanted to buy one and supplied my trade information with about 20 photos. 2017 truck crew cab with under 10K miles and looks basically brand new. I was ready to work up a deal and then drive there. Text messages and emails later, I just stopped getting responses and the one response was never followed through with. I understand all deals don't work out and a trade is not the optimal situation but in this case I will never know. In closing, a good sales person never leaves a deal open or closes a potential deal at least without providing a response/options like: hey we don't do trades, Your trucks to new and we can't allow what you probably want/need for your trade, hey you need minimum 5k down or heck just we don't want your business because you have to far to drive. I'll just leave it at this, very disappointed in this experience. And they didn't even get to check my credit which is 700 or more.

On the 3rd gear and 2nd gear pulls it seemed you had traction control on but were saying not much wheelspin? Why would you expect a lot of wheelspin if you have traction control cutting power at the first sign of wheelspin? Just trying to make sure I understand the point.

With those stock 235's, you can't really drive it much harder than a standard NA engine. You'll light up those tires everytime you want to really use that blower. But, in a way it's better, because it allows you to pick and choose whatever aftermarket wheels you want. Like a set of SVE R350's with 305's in the rear. Now that makes it a wild ride.
The wheels on that car reminds me of the toothbrush salesmen that offers "try this brush"..customer says "hey this toothpaste tastes like crap!"..salesmen- "it is, want to buy a toothbrush?"
I contacted Lebanon Ford about purchasing a new 2018 in May. Was told they would only discount a premium GT PP1 $1200 off a $45k sticker. I bought from a dealer 23.2 miles away and saved $7500.

Tell us about what is happening at the fuel gauge. I am contemplating supercharging my 2018 GT, but I am getting mixed messages regarding fuel consumption. I know that if you drive it like a race car driver, it will suck the tank dry very quickly, and that's fair enough, but I want to know about fuel usage (compared with stock) when driving a supercharged stang at legal speeds/as a daily driver.
This is a sweet deal for sure! If Ford will ever get there shit together and fix all the issues with the coyote motors and 6spd transmissions in these cars I would consider buying this in the next year or two.

They sell upgrades and a warranty if you want peace of mind, but these seem to do fine without upgrading the other stuff unless you're constantly launching it at the strip.
eric ochoa the only upgrade needed on this car would be beefier Ford performance axles, and wider tires everything else is good to go. Maybe an Icebox for the heat exchanger if youre gonna really push it hard. But 800hp for 40K is a steal.
I think the complete package with all the supportive modifications came to mid 40s. This is an excellent deal, especially when you consider that a stock 2012 shelby gt500 was 55k, though the shelby had a tremec transmission and was made to produce huge power with minor mods.
Another great review Matt. I think the original tire size doesn’t matter much since any buyer should really be running a drag radial to have any chance of applying that amount of hp. If I ordered one I would budget extra money for a drag pack setup and drive it on sunny days, weekends and track days.

Alot of modern cars have limited torque in the first couple gears through factory tuning. Probably a reason why it is controlable at lower speeds.
Only if you drive like an idiot. Know your limitations, the limitations of your car, and stay within them and you won't have any problems.
