  • If you want the best LED headlight bulbs available for both your low beam projectors and high beam reflectors on your CR-V, check out this easy installation video and review. I'm using Hikari's latest generation 2022 HyperStar LED technology. I've looked at many brands of LED headlight bulbs and these are the best I have found for Honda OEM projector housings used on both Civic's and CRV's.
    You can purchase them below on sale (Amazon Paid Link)

    Bought these Hikari Hyperstar bulbs Lo and Hi beam after watching your video a few weeks ago. I just installed them 2 minutes ago and they are awesome. They appear beautiful even during the daytime. Can't wait to try them at night. They work for 2020 Honda CRV Sport Canadian Spec even though Amazon said they will not fit. Your video is what sold me on these bulbs. Thanks!

    I have the Hikari UltraFocus H1's in my 07 CRV aftermarket projectors, which have a little less brightness than yours (18,000LM vs 20,000). very satisfied with them so far, just wish they were a tad brighter and slightly warmer at 5000 or 5500K but otherwise seem to be solid quality. only time will tell though

    I think passenger side low beam require some hand gymnastics. Does low beams H11 also require the top down perfect orientation? I did the 9005 vertical as I can see it while I was getting it vertical but the low beams I can’t see it. Is the H11 low beam also required to be vertical or not necessary? Thank you!

    • @JackofAllMasterofNone
      @JackofAllMasterofNone  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not really necessary since it's a projector.

      First of all, at least Honda didn't lie to you. Google the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. 2nd, no problems at all. These use much less power than a regular halogen bulb and actually put much less load on the vehicle electrical system.

I'm in the process of upgrading basically every light in my '17 CR-V to LED and so the links you've provided will be great for the low beam, hi beam, and fog lights (the former and latter using the same bulb). I've looked at other You Tube videos for upgrading the other lights (2 map lights, 1 dome light, 2 rear cargo area lights, and reverse/backup lights). Should I use this same company do you think? If so- or if not- do you have any suggested links? Thank you SO much for your time!! I do appreciate it.

      @JackofAllMasterofNone  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My CRVs have never had fog lights so don't know. I wouldn't recommend anything bright though. Will just blind everyone and piss them off. Probably just some cheap, color temp matching LEDs. On my wife's 2014 I added the yellow Hella fog light bulbs. Makes a nice contrast on foggy days

    Honda half assed the lighting with this vehicle. They should've given us 35w HID system for the best performance or LED just like their top trims. Anyway I'm not sure if these headlamps will pass the inspection test because states like Texas tends to give you the middle finger for using aftermarket parts.

    • @JackofAllMasterofNone
      @JackofAllMasterofNone  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That sucks. I live in a state that doesn't have inspections. Thats kind of horsesh$# if they mess with someone putting LEDs in a factory projector housing. I get not putting them in stock reflectors, but it's a good, safe upgrade for any halogen projector.

      When I bought my 2018 CR-V EX, all trim levels came with halogens except the (top of the line) Touring trim. Given that the difference in price to the manufacturer (Honda) of LED vs halogen bulbs would've been a matter of maybe a few tens of dollars, and given how much better night vision the LEDs provide, and the matter-of-life-and-death importance of being able to see well in the dark, I thought that logic would dictate that Honda would put LEDs on all trim levels. But no! What I initially failed to take into consideration is marketing aimed at increasing profits. Honda, like most car manufacturers, needs to have some differentiators between the trim levels which would be significant and desirable enough to entice many buyers to pull the trigger and make the (costly) leap up to the next higher trim level, at a significantly higher price. In this case, if you wanted the LEDs, you had to pay up for the top of the line Touring. I wanted the LEDs, but wasn't about to pay thousands for them given that I didn't even WANT the leather seats and other bells and whistles that came with Touring. So I bought the EX with halogens, and later upgraded them to LED myself using high end LEDs from a reputable, well known manufacturer. All for about a hundred bucks. I could not be happier with the outcome!
