Very interesting, appreciate the effort put into it ! Still, not being based on a true formula to establish the ratings, ( which can't be hard to find ) I can't be certain those numbers mean what you might think..

Useful video, are the final results available in text anywhere? I've been thinking of buying a new fan and I'd like one with more CFM.

My speed 1 is too low on my Walmart fan. In comparison with my speed 1 on a 2022 Home Depot model.
Is it defective or is there a fix?

    Power is Watts
Amps is NOT a true indicator of power. Please use Watts in reference to “power”.

That’s correct. It’s a bad habit. Thanks for pointing it out.

@@htiekmahned8859He uses amps because the unit is rated in "amps" not watts

Measuring power in amps, in this case, is completely acceptable. The voltage component of power, 120vac for these fans, is a constant that can't change. If anyone needs to know the actual wattage, they can multiply by 120.

Does anyone have a guess of the life expectancy of these fans in continuous operation? I'm using one to blow air on my air conditioning air handler which has condensation problems on the outside. The air flow on low speed eliminates the condensation so just wondering what kind of life I'll get out of one of these fans in continuous use.

Here's my idea and the reason I'm watching. I just watched a video where a guy screwed two fans together with a screen to catch mosquitos.
It has triggered the urge for me to buy two of the highest cfm box fans I can and I want to mount them gave to face and reverse the motor of one of them to have counter rotating blades.
Why? I have no idea. 😅. I'll have the best sleep or I'll be sick.

I think lasko box fans don't move much air. Just got mine brand new today and or old box fans pushed more air and wasn't as inferior. Why are fans junk today. I don't have anything but fan cooling on 95 degree days. Nights only been cooling to 74 and it takes me all night to cool my house box off leaving the door open and all the windows open. I have one high velocity fan but i am not comparing to that. But with a box fan a fly flew against the wind. Went up to the front of the fan on high and it didn't blow it back. Eventually it flew away but all the way up to where the wind is the strongest on the fan.
